  1. That video helped alot. And I see that there is a load sequence in order to get it to work correctly. I now have button 3 mapped to TS S!!!
  2. Thanks for the link Sturtz. Its a shame CH havent updated the software to say standards like the Razer Synapse software which is so easy to use and highly intuitive. I will check out the video and let you know how I go. S!
  3. Thanks for the heads up Luft. Good old M$ at it again. Oh wait, its all meant to be seamless plug and play. lol
  4. Excellent! Thanks Dudley.
  5. I have moved on from my Logitech to the CH which is a vast improvement. I am now looking at the VKB Gladiator and yes it is really hard to come by.
  6. I can make it Mondays to Thursdays at 8pm CDT or thereabouts onwards. Pretty much the same time as for Wargrounds and Career night. S!
  7. Having just discovered RoF about a month ago, it has been a meteoric experience. From starting off hardly being able to fly despite being an ex pilot and 4 years on ED I was a fledgling recruit again. As my flying began to take shape I searched for a group to join. As usual few Aussies about, EU group, wrong time zone, and then I put up a request in the RoF forums and was directed here. Intense training with Mox Vonrd and Klieg who really helped me take my flying sense to a new lvl. I have said it before however its worth saying again. The fact that the group has invested so much in me already deepens the bond of loyaty to the Jagdgeschwader. It was then I started to realise the short comings of my Logitech 3D Extreme Pro stick. It takes alot of force to move it and then I am always over correcting especially with Yaw movements. So Thrustmaster pedals next. Couldnt even take off with my first Hard Look session just a week ago. So I went as a gunner with Klieg. Didnt take long to get the hang of the pedals and now rudder movement is coming along nicely. However it made the other flaws of the Logitech stick stand out more especially after flying in the Dr1 with Luft. Much thanks to him for his patience and guidance. My first career flight with the group was great. No kills although I didnt get killed or lost. Thx to Hotlead for taking me under his wing. Flaws in the stick very apparent by now. Having to move my hand by a mm to get alignment just to breathe and then have it thrown offline again. So onto searching for a new stick. Here in Australia we have very limited resources. Thrustmaster, Logitech and CH are about it. I am still chasing a VKB Gladiator however after chatting to a few guys, thx Hotlead, Luft et al I went out yesterday and bought the CH Fighterstick. Honestly it feels a bit plasticy, the software is dated back to XP, lol. however the changes were immediate. My plane now acts as a gun platform, stable without jerking all over the place. So again I am in adjustment phase however on the standard server yesterday evening I held my own and even shot down 2 planes. (The crowd roars ). Sadly the 2pm FiF is hard for me however I can fly most days due to my odd working hours. So if anyone is looking to fly and wants a wingman pls find me on the JG1 TS Lastly if anyone in the US knows a reliable source for the VKB Gladiator pls drop me a pm. S!!!!!

  11. I had my first fly as a gunner on Thursday Thanks to Kliegmann for patience and explanations. Lots to learn see and do. I look forward to more. S!
  12. Win 10 has been screwing with my Joystick assignments lately and I'm glad I backed up this file. Hey Vonrd. This has been giving me a hard time as well. Now I have lost control of fuel mixture on the DVIIf but only that aircraft. Have you found any solutions? S!
  13. The advancements made in aircraft during that very small period has never been equaled. Its interesting to note that the Aileron was first penned in 1864 by the British scientist Mathew Boulton. As we know ailerons were starting to be utilized early in the war and by the end of WWI wing warping was obsolete. The dynamics of aircraft and their capability at that time grew exponentially and so pilots such as MvR et al had to grow with the aircraft and techniques helping to create the "personalities" of the time. As to the demise of MvR it wasnt until letters were discovered in 1937 that the truth of his death started to emerge. It was recorded that when the Australians reached his Dr1 he "sighed" as he died with no words being uttered at all. Further investigations revealed the actual cause of death which is now noted in the anals of history. It is unlikely that humanity will witness such events again compared to the days when Flight was still young. S!
