  1. Thank you. Going for it.
  2. I have a few bucks and now that it's on sale, I'd like to pick up Battle of Stalingrad and give it a go. If my budget is about 30 bucks, should I pick up the special edition? Or, should I get the baseline game and maybe go for one of the add-ons? Your thoughts?
  3. https://www.amazon.com/Last-Man-Novel-First-World/dp/0345461347/ref=asc_df_0345461347/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312009759033&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11581494967521647346&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010157&hvtargid=pla-568228722182&psc=1 This is an outstanding book that tells the story of The Great War from the perspectives of such persons as Richthofen, Pershing, a British Tommy, French generals and the 2nd AEF Division Marines at Belleau Wood. Enjoy!
  4. I'm on the JG1 training server. Hopefully I'm in the right spot?
  5. Well, that's good to know!
  6. I saw that. That's a little after my time. *shakes head sadly.*
  7. No, it was Black Haze for sure. It set off alarms in my skull as soon as I saw your post. I just wish I could find the original site in the wayback machine.
  8. YES! That's IT!!!! Wow. Hahaha. Good find there brother!
  9. I think our main page was on angelfire back then. Lol. I do remember it being the black something or other squadron,
  10. I actually have no idea what squadron I was with when flying in RB2. I've been trying to remember how the hell I played multi in RB2 to begin with. It was a German squadron and we called ourselves the black something or other. Black Vegetable? (For those that get that reference, bonus points) We flew competitions and had tournament trees and everything. I seemed to be quite good with the Albatross D. III? back then. It's hard to remember. I've had a lot pushed through my brain housing group since then. I've been trying to find something on it on the computer box thing and google machine, but to no avail.
  11. When this was perfectly acceptable and we all were in amazement of the hi-tech graphics.
  12. Thank you for the warm welcome! Now, what do I do? I've not received an email yet.
  13. How I feel having played Red Baron 2, multi. I don't even remember how we did it. I had a 14.4 dial-up. I think you could only have 4 planes per match.
  14. Roger that! It's been a pleasure so far being shot out of the sky, wings ripping off, engines sputtering in and out for no real reason. I missed it so much. I still have the RB2 music stuck in my head on a semi-daily bases. It's good to be back! S!
  15. What is your Timezone? EST Do you have a joystick or HOTAS? Joystick with HOTAS Do you have TeamSpeak installed, as well as a working microphone? Yes Do you have TrackIR, or a FreeTrack system for view control? No What sims are you currently flying? IL2 1946, IL2 Cliffs of Dover, Rise of Flight (Primarily) How did you hear about JG1? I think there is a possibility that this is the descendant of the squadron I flew with back in 1999-2000 when I was playing Red Baron 2. My pilot name back then was Paradox1 if anyone remembers. I just got into Rise of Flight recently and forgot how much I missed flying rickety old aircraft with buddies. I found this squadron on the Rise of Flight forums. Is there anything else that you'd like us to know? I'm an active duty Gunnery Sgt. in the USMC. I currently work at Cunningham Field, Cherry Point, the birthplace of Marine Aviation.
