Curved monitor and wall mount

I have a friend who is thinking about buying a curved monitor.  They want to wall mount it and have questions that I can't answer.

Here is their message to me, as well as a picture of their VESA mount.

Let me know your thoughts.  And thanks in advance!

Wondering if you may know the answer to this based on your experience with monitors.

I think I might end up getting the Odyssey G9 curved ultrawide 49 inch. I've read people struggle mounting it on a wall, but some suggest that any VESA mount would do the job.

I own the stand (check out the attached pic) that came with my rig, and the description on the site says it holds tvs up to 80 inches (paraphrasing here) and the mounting it offers is VESA.

Do you think I'd be able to attach the monitor to it? I wrote to the company but they seem to be just ghosting me at the moment.

Thanks so much,

Kameraden,

I've got a single arm mounted to a desk for a 49" Dell Monitor. Works fine with no issues. It allows three monitor display on one screen.

When I started the clean desk project, it was a complete mess of cables, and it took an hour to disassemble and dust—changed rooms due to renovations underway.

Answer is yes, with standoffs.

I have two of the G-9 curved monitors. One is mounted on my Next Level Racing rig and the other is a desktop for my flight sim that uses the stand included with the monitor. Both work well. Looks like the Next Level mount is pretty close to the wall mounted idea. I have no trouble adjusting it at all. Mounting on the wall would be a little more tedious because you don't have the space out in the middle of the room, but should not be that hard. We put the TV up using that type of wall mount and it was easy and a handful at 85" to get in place but it dropped right in.

I had to smile.... saw "Flight of Eagles" on the wall there I had to put mine in the corner because I was running out of wall space and the larger prints would not go there.
