  1. If your were hoping for a more user friendly mission editor... Will the mission editor change and what new things will appear in the map editor The mission editor will not change much at its core, because it is already considered a powerful visual tool for complex scenarios, albeit with a high entry level. From the point of view of creating complex scenarios, for example if making something like Tactical Air War, it is definitely the most convenient tool compared to competitors. The main development concerns the map editor: now you can edit the height map, rivers, roads, cities, textures, and other elements directly in the tool. This should simplify map creation and potentially attract more creators from the community.
  2. Sunday May 24. I'm not sure whether I can make it. https://forum.il2-series.com/topic/3313-aas-scg-il-2-tc-pvp-event-battle-of-sovetsky-phase-2-—-west-of-stalingrad-42-sunday-may-24/#findComment-20393
  3. Luckily, it looks like I don't have it. Thanks for the heads up.
  4. A truly sad lesson for us all. How can we send him some help in the way of money?

  6. This manual by AeriaGloria is somewhat technical and a bit difficult to understand but it does explain some of the nuances of the sensor modes. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/387794-flight-manual-changes/#findComment-5775176
  7. That's very sad. My thoughts are with him and his family.
  8. This looks like a good tool for mission building: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/387809-preview-of-prefab-manager/
  9. I just love this song no matter who is covering it. Looks like Jack likes their version.
  10. Yes but mostly when it first was released. I haven't been flying much DCS lately due to the decline in practices. When we've been testing @Flyboy's campaign I've been doing mostly rotorcraft. It's really good at close in knife fights due to it's mix of infrared and radar guidance and the helmet mounted sight is really useful. BVR is a bit iffy especially against more modern Western acft. (not surprising). But when paired with competent GCI the infrared seeker let's you do a sneaky attack... but not against all seeing AI. High thrust to weight makes energy management relatively easy. I like it.
  11. Here's my cheat sheet. I can walk you through what the actual assignments are called in-game.
  12. Whaddya think? Great idea huh?
