Assuming I have to know band and title. There where a few times I knew one but not the other. 1,11,15. 5,6,8, and 12 8 heard a million times never knew the name or artist. Layla every time I hear it I think GoodFellas. 3,8,9,13 I'm protesting #11 I think that was a cover by someone else. or a live version that didn't sound like him. 4,9,11,12 The only reason I knew #6 was I saw a documentary on David Gilmour and he was a fan.

Thanks for the heads up.

You may also want to add a very small dead zone in the center of some of the axes if you find the camera is bouncing around too much. It made it easier for me to focus on instruments. If you plan on using your controls to zoom you can reduce the Z axis to zero. Z is lean forward and back. Unless you fly DCS then you may want it for finding a pesky switch that is hidden.

Good stuff. I bookmarked the lesson. Looks like a good place to start. S! Raz

That was interesting. I've never tried to play any Mark Knopfler because of the finger picking. After watching, may be I'll give finger picking another shot.........someday........when I have time.......

Wolf Alice I've heard before, Tash Sultana I haven't. I like it. At first I wasn't sure if she tracked anything over that song. Rewatched it was all her live. She starts by laying the rhythm on a looper and went on from there. A friend pointed them out some years back. I have their live in San Francisco Album its pretty good.

Rudder pedals dead; Hotlead out of action for now
Razwald replied to J5_Hotlead's topic in Public Discussion
Hotlead, Wished I had seen this earlier. I have a set Saitek peddals you can have. As of late they started losing mapping on ROF. RoF only so I'm not sure if its the pedals, Win 10, RoF, or all of the above. It seems to do it before take off so I got in the habit of doing a flight control check. Its done it 3 maybe 4 times in the last 4 or 5 months. Which makes me suspect win 10 updates. I have a set of MFG Crosswind's that I was waiting till I got a house or when my Saitek died which ever came first. So I'm ok with parting with them. PM sent S Raz -
That is also the only thing I knew about Spirit. It would be impossible to figure out but I'm curious. How much music has slipped through the cracks that I would be interested in.

Ok got it. Ignore everything above. So no matter what I did couldn't get my Warthog stick and my DIY panel to work in BOS. So I did some investigating. I had double the amount of devices in BOS and 1 triple. The triple was my joystick which I had to replace recently. So basically I had 13 devices in my file 7 registries from my old computer which pushed my new setup down. I guess BOS didn't like devices ID numbers after 10.

So there isn't any confusion on my bonehead oversight. It was a power cord that wasn't plugged in. I agree on the poor design on USB connectors. I do have to be careful not to knock my cables out of my USB hub. On the other hand my motherboard has very tight and secure fittings for the USB ports.

I was just behind my computer swapping cables to retrieve some data on my old computer I over looked. When I noticed a cord not plugged in and yes it was the USB hub. I'll check it out when I reswap the cables. I'm sure that is my issue. A lot of good info. I may end up getting a 3.1 hub eventually. I think for now if everything is good, I'm not going to touch anything.

My question is actually simple its about USB ports. So with all the controls I have. I'm running them through a USB hub. I'm trying to save space in case I get into VR. My joystick is running straight to the computer figured that was the most important didn't want any issues with that one. So when I went into DCS my DIY control panel wasn't there. I pulled it out of the hub and put it into my computer and it showed up. I guess 7 was too many in one hub. So here is my question. So what I have left over for inputs on the backside of the computer is two 3.1 USB and one 3.1 type C. Since USB is all about band width should I just get a second 2.0 hub and split the differnce? 3 controllers on 1 four on the other? Would a 3.1 hub help at all? My thinking is an extra 2.0 hub would be fine the most tasking controllers I have are the joystick and TrackIR. The control panels and throttle not so much. An extra hub would free up 1 USB port of my choosing either a 2.0 or 3.1. So the other question is, could VR run through a hub? I'm not sure but I think 3 USB's are needed for it. I'm a bit confused about the amount of sensors needed for just flight sims. Thanks, S! Razwald

The issue with the DSD board is it has rotary encoders. Not knowing much about inputs I thought it would be good for radiators in BOS but that isn't how encoders work. For those who don't it works like a switch one click right is one input one click left is another. So to open a radiator that has one click is 1% its 100 clicks to open fully. Its faster to hold a button down. Or use an axis. But I'm keeping it because outside of combat it can come in handy for the RSI-6K and the K-7 ARC-5 in the Mig-15. Or the ARK-10, RSBN and the PRGM in the Mig-21 Not to mention the FUG 16ZY in the Dora and Kurfürst.

I'm going to use the DSD board for radios, ILS etc in DCS.

The control panel is a Leo Bodnar board. The control panel to the right is a DSD board. It didn't do what I wanted so that is why I decided to build my own. Not sure why it look so dark. Also I adjusted the height of my monitor so I can see my MFD's better.
