  1. I don't think I can, my mother has this stupid BS that I have to work incredibly hard to get any cash, then doesn't let me spend it. :l
  2. Hey; I was gonna buy the channel map, Pfalz DXII, and the SE5a. Should I get anything else? (I have the Camel, Dr1, and D7F)
  3. Well it just gives me an excuse to "spend" some money on airplanes
  4. Would've been pretty cool to be skipping around and see a low flying WWI aircraft sometime haha. Also; Kermit is supposed to reopen FoF in a few days I think..
  5. 1. I think the fragility sucks, but I also appreciate it in the learning curve. I like a challenge, but not a ludicrous one. 2. I agree that the Camel and Dr.I are really difficult to fly but I also appreciate the skill level. The Camel was notorious in real life of being a bull with wings. Dr.I I heard it was easy but I haven't read much. My interest in the Dr.I has been of late, unlike the Camel. 3. Butzzell said it was all over England, no channel. I think airstarts over the channel would've been cool, future FIF maybe hmm?
  6. I think I saw a few at Fantasy Of Flight, everything is barley flown if at all. Beautiful!
  7. Wonder if it was an Aerodrome kit..don't know if they make a D8. I want to get one of their Dr.I kits one day! Full scale of course.
  8. Saw that, but what will the order of planes be? P12, Dr.I, D7F? Spad 13, Sopwith? Also SE5a maybe Use the Sopwiths for direct, and the SE5a's for energy fighting maybe hmm? Still not thinking about buying any two seaters, but that F2A still peaks my interest.
  9. Man that thing is a beauty!
  10. I heard all of that was fixed with "Edge" is that it? All my DCS time is flying the TF-51D around the patch. Relaxing
  11. Perfect plane set for me to fly, Camel and Dr.I are gonna be my machines. Just need that skin to be put up in a pack dang it! Gotta get the channel map but I can't spend any cash atm, maybe then. Make sure to bring a lifejacket, (or will there be no flying over the channel? I hope there will be!) Also, W12?
  12. Thought about testing see if DCS world has the problems. Of all games I think DCS would take it the worst; maybe I'll be wrong! I think I may buy Teamspeak 3 on my phone and finally send out my headphones back to Germany for a replacement. (They are ROCCAT Syva, one lost a glue seal, the other was defective) Going to get them back in theory before FIF 23 (is it now?)
  13. Listening to that really makes me want to get some planes in DCS. Maybe it will be less strenuous than dogfighting in 109s and Fokkers
  14. First or second offense? 3 and 2, nasty..what will be done?
  15. Anyone watch the two episodes that are on amazon prime's video service? I saw the first but my mom has prime but I don't have the info..need it for the second.
  16. Thats pretty neat. If I had a lot of disposable income I would own one, haha.
  17. Got myself a chance to hitchhike a ride in a SNJ-6, my dad was helping and flew (He used to fly for them back around 2007) in a two ship formation for a fly-by over for a "homes for heroes" type ordeal. Did a low fly-by and a overhead brake. It was pretty cool. Linked an album of the "good" photos I took, and the overhead brake I put on YouTube. I would have to say the Texan is the sweetest flying airplane ever, it is an absolute ball. If anyone has flown one they will understand. http://imgur.com/a/e6lKW Also, in case anyone has heard of the Griffon race plane P-51, called "Precious Metal" the owner and pilot is the person who was flying the other Texan, Thom Richard. Sadly Precious Metal turned to Molten Metal, I have a couple photos of the nasty fire damage. I would love to hear about anyone else's flying experiences!
  18. Yeah, the two, obvious older, are from 2001 I think. The new Camel is from 2013 I think. Never made a remake of the Fokker They made a Wright Flyer around the same time, I sort of have half of one. My mom bought it w/o any knowledge and didn't get a full model so its useless.
  19. Sadly haven't had a chance to pull my warbird models down from my garage to do anything. But I am in theory gonna get my Fokker flying and I plan on recovering it to look like mine in RoF that Kempf made for me. (Thank you so much!) However these are some old and a fairly new Lego models of some pretty familiar warbirds among ourselves. http://imgur.com/a/fKoqI Still want that new Fokker Dr.I that they never made Think I may try out some old Lego CAD programs and see if I can piece together any Luftwaffe planes to possibly make.. hmmm.
  20. The German air controllers at Frankfurt Airport are renowned as a short-tempered lot. They not only expect one to know one's gate parking location, but how to get there without any assistance from them. So it was with some amusement that we (a Pan Am 747) listened to the following exchange between Frankfurt ground control and a British Airways 747, call sign Speedbird 206. Speedbird 206: " Frankfurt , Speedbird 206! clear of active runway." Ground: "Speedbird 206. Taxi to gate Alpha One-Seven." The BA 747 pulled onto the main taxiway and slowed to a stop. Ground: "Speedbird, do you not know where you are going?" Speedbird 206: "Stand by, Ground, I'm looking up our gate location now." Ground (with quite arrogant impatience): "Speedbird 206, have you not been to Frankfurt before?" Speedbird 206 (coolly): "Yes, twice in 1944, but it was dark, -- And I didn't land." You all may have heard this before, just felt like sharing to those who didn't.
  21. Here's something more modern, still find that sound to be sexy.
  22. I will have to do that sometime! Think I'm gonna not be able to still fly for a while, but I may get Teamspeak on my phone just to pop on every once in a while
  23. Now having someone from back then, that will be interesting to hear some stories from then haha.
  24. Here's a rarity. I hope its been apparent that I have a huge musical taste. haha
