S! JG1, Hello guys. Glad to see everyone is still around! Finally my life has started to slow down a bit to where I have some extra free time to dedicate to the air. I'm quite excited to finally be able to participate with you guys again. I miss the teamwork and comradeship! Can someone please inform me how the practice sessions work and what day they are on for CloD? Thanks in advance guys. I'm looking forward to flying with you guys again!

I used to be a beta tester for DoD way back when. Grew up playing it up until the community for it died believe it or not. There is a small sub community for it called http://nineteeneleven.org/forums/ 1911 used to be the main source hub of information about DoD updates, League stuff, etc. etc. but now its just a spot for all the old timers in the game to get together and say whatsup. Funny you mention it. Nice walk down memory lane.

Lipfert, I will be around Sunday. Its my swing shift day so I only work from 6am-11am. So anytime after 11:00am (CST) is good for me. Vonrd, thanks for the tutorial video, I'll try my best to get myself setup using that, if I have any questions or issues hopefully Lipfert will be around to help. S! JG1 I've finally ordered a trackir 5 today. It will be here Friday. Can anyone be kind enough as to explain how to set this up for 1946 and CloD? Or point me to a tutorial that's specifically meant to be used with the above mentioned games? I'll be fully back in the saddle this weekend. Sorry for the delay but hatswitching just doesn't cut it anymore for me once you've used a head tracking device before. I can't seem to find the TS info on the site. Can someone PM me the info please? Or send me a link to somewhere that provides it? Thanks in advanced gentlemen. Just a quick update. il-2 1946, Cliffs of Dover, War Thunder are installed and graphics are jacked up to as high as they can go with no studders. Its amazing. My only issue so far is I downloaded DCS World and whenever I try to launch the game to fly it changes my resolution to something crazy low and I can't get it to change back. I have no idea why, also the views start going nuts and turning everywhere and I can't even seem to get into the cockpit, I'm sure that issue is just a key config issue but whats up with the resolution changing on me? Every other game I can run 1920x1080 no problem.

Thanks for clearing that up Britchot. Once friday hits I will be ordering a brand spanking new Trackir5 then hopefully I'll be able to have some fun lol. Hatswitching just doesn't cut it anymore lol. Oh btw, I moved up to Chicago from Charleston, SC. I'm living with my new girlfriend up here. And thank god to because the welding industry in charleston was pathetic. They were trying to offer me 10$/hr to Tig weld aluminum, which if you know anything about welding, Aluminum Tig takes the most skill. So now that I'm up here I'm making much better money that far exceeds the cost of living increase. Life is good finally.

Okay so I purchased CloD and its wonderful. After the 800$ total on a new PC and video card I didn't have the extra .money left over to buy a trackir and BoS. Am I correct in assuming you guys are playing BoS or are y'all playing CloD? This Friday I'm ordering a trackir 5 as well. I was doing some reading about BoS the other day and multiple people said the game is very arcade like and no where near the realism that CloD provides with the Fusion mod. Any comments or thoughts on this?

Card came in today and I installed it. Haven't had the chance to install the drivers yet but I should be up and running some time tomorrow.

S! JG1 I'm officially finally going to be back in the saddle by Friday.I'm going to buy the actual computer itself on Wednesday which is a Xeon 3.0 quad core processor with 8 gigs of ram. I've already purchased a brand new x52 joystick. the only part I'm sure of getting is a new video card. My budget for a new video card is about 150 is there out there and they can be able to run cliffs of Dover for that price range if I have to spend a little more in order to have a more satisfying experience I will but I'd like to keep it in that price range. I'm so excited about coming back you guys will see me Friday like I said I've already got the new joystick purchased and I'm purchasing the new computer on Wednesday and now I just need to find a good video card that I can buy so I can order it online and it be here by the end of the week thank you in advance for all your help

One last thing. I purchased the android Teamspeak app and am trying to find the TS info and am having trouble doing it via my mobile device. Could someone post it or PM it to me. Thanks

I have a coupke questions for yall. 1.) Is the IL1946 division still active? 2.) Do you guys still do Skies 3.) Is the flying style that emphasizes teamwork, communication, and as much professionalism as possible? 4.) Anyone have an extra vid card and or mobo/cbu combo laying around? Honestly hate to ask but at this point ive put pride away, money is gonna get crazy tight with this surgery) I could probably pay the shipping so your not having to dish any cash out of pocket. 5.) How did JG1 one do in the Pacific campaign that followed the one and only GS campaign I played (believe it was italian based, we had spits, enemy has macchis, 109's and 190's I believe 6.) Has the group shifted thowards ClOD? 7.) Has BoS been released and how is it? 8.) Any word on the DCS FW 190 sim that was still in development way back when. Thanks in advance. S! JG1, Sorry for my continued inactivity. Git another punch from life I got to roll with. Tore my ACL in my left knee training for a Martial Arts called Battle of Atlanta. Its the olympics of Marti Arts tournaments. My training partner went to go in for a take down by grabbing the back of my knees and I was able to underhook both of his arms before he was able to wrap me. I went to go lift hit him straight up and drop him but as soon as I got him up my knee popped twice and I went back further than it was suppose to because I locked it out. I immediately dropped and screamed like I never screamed before. That shit had me damn near delusional. On a lighter note as soon as it happened I yelled for liquor and a few other "numbing substances" and they immediately showed it. Its funny to look back and laugh at it. Surgery is scheduled for the 26th. At my own request ivr asked for no opiates. Im still clean. 3 years, 7 months, and this evening. Thoughts and prayers are welcomed with the up coming surgery and staying strong. Who knows. I might use the recoop time to finally huild this PC and get myself back up and running. On the downside because I live in a "right to work state" with no unions and I was working through a temp agency they fired me regardless of hospital documentation. Gatta love South Carolina. S! I'm in a situation where I have to save every penny I make for a new place. Probably going to be that way for a couple more months.
