So, I’ll probably never see the light of day again

Love it Barton ! Like Kliegmann ,,, the boss wouldn't allow it. You'd probably find me slumped over in the seat with a head wound. -
Schafer ,,,,Sorry my CH Manager assistance didn't work well for your Team Speak button mapping the other day. Hopefully you went to YouTube and watched some vids that show how to use mapped mode etc. I do know you cannot have TeamSpeak running while mapping buttons etc. Anyway,, being an old low-tech pc repairman and game machine builder I often use Team Viewer to remotely go into customer's computers and set stuff up or fix errors etc. You seem to know your way around this stuff so I'm sure you have it all in the bag now. Here's a vid using the CH Fighter stick and a decent how to map buttons and controls etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJb4AIfs1TA ~S~ Drop_Bear

Advice when changing call sign "Profile" in ROF ?
Sturtz replied to Sturtz's topic in Technical Support
It went great ! Everything moved right over except mods for each aircraft. Thanks for the help gentlemen . ~S~ -
A snappy salute to the man and the myth. ~S~ The very first name of flight many of us learned as small children. Much like Wild Bill Hickcock and his pistol marksmanship. His name lives on when we think of the best of the best. Most of you I've met here so far are ardent readers. And most have read volumes on the early air war machines. Considered by many modern pilots today as death traps with a prop. I have to think of those days and the young men that climbed in those wooden winged kites. Strapped into to their wicker seats without a chute. And flew higher than ever before to serve their country. Knowing all along that they may end up like the guy they drank with the week before who never came home. http://www.usaww1.com/World_War_1_Fighter_Pilots.php4

Advice when changing call sign "Profile" in ROF ?

Saving all plane's controls and the response settings to file is a must , as I found out early on making a slight edit to my game name. Just wondering if there are other factors to watch out for when doing this ? Thanks in advance ! ~S~

Not really listening but watching a video a friend sent today of me flying a Superstar 120 after swapping engines.

I have enough skins now including a few J/11 in the bunch. Going to heed advice and wait till FC .

As I absorb more and more experience from you guys I'm still amazed how you can not only spot the enemy but call the plane type from quite a distance as well. At this point I just don't shoot till I see roundels. Flying in a large gaggle and knowing who is who impresses me as well. I realize this will come in time . I do know a couple of the guy's schemes now and have learned 3 or 4 voices on TS. I've thought about a skin Klai and have decided to keep it simple when the time comes. Something like Luft's kites. Some type of stripes or easy to see at close range markings without all the flashy colors. I downloaded enough now to not look like Ai . LOL

Thank you Klai . And yes that answered my question. ~S~

On the official ROF useful material page , is there some type of guide or list I could look at before downloading skin packs I'll never use ? https://riseofflight.com/forum/topic/45373-new-useful-materials-page-official-links/ Unless gifted I don't have any reason to buy allied planes so I don't need those skins. But,, since I have all central kites except for the Gotha and the float plane I'd like to have a few German skins that are not personal to others. Preferably JG1 if available. I was informed by a fellow squady that since they are no longer doing updates etc to ROF that contacting Butzzell ,,Vonrd or other skin masters for my own personal skins was a waste of time. Thanks in advance,, Sturtz

Hey Dudley ~~ Welcome !!!

Hiya Raf,,, About the same story for me too. Getting back into flight sims after a long hiatus can be a frustrating journey with the technical aspects of gadget setup and of course the learning curve of any unfamiliar flight sim. But you'll bust right back into the groove and find your love for the skies again. Plus you'll find the flieger of JG1 most helpful and understanding . I was grounded until 2 or 3 months ago since 2008 and trust me,, the rust will have built up on your wings leading edges for sure. Free advice,,,, relax and listen. These guys in here will have you flying straight again in no time. ~Salute~
