  1. Question - I received a DCG mission to defend a ship (...1st time ever) - so I was wondering what would be the code in timetable.dcg to assign a unit this type of mission? Or will this work: 19420212 SetEscort $Destroyer_Paul_Jacobi = II_JG260 or 19420212 SetEscort 52_Chief = II_JG260
  2. Yes - AI too. CUP has 980+ aircraft (CUP combined a lot of HSFX aircraft - like the trops into existing slots making it more streamlined). in CUP the aircraft switch automatically when you select a desert map. It took me months manually to do what sniperton's DIT did in a day - oh and I still had several errors LOL
  3. Outstanding gentlemen! We love the passion and dedication!
  4. Well has for #2: Pink plans are always caused by load-out issues. I would make sure the load-out in the game jive with what DCG has (payload.dcg and allpayloads.dcg) For the F-2, you may only have Default and Empty (...which don't have to be in the allpayloads.dcg). As it doesn't happen all the time - I would check the payload.dcg and see what loadout DCG has (....it would be easier to use the GUI - aircraft information).
  5. Paul - Would it be possible to split the timetable On/Off and the FrontMovement=True/False function back like you use to have it? For a campaign that focuses 100% on air attack with no land capture (Battle of Britain & Air War in Europe), I would like to insert aircraft, trains and ships into the campaign using the timetable.dcg at certain times in the war (...by using the timetable On command). However, I don't want locations change allegiance (...until August 19th, 1944 - for a day and June 6th, 1944) - thus having the FrontMovement=True in the dcg.ini will solve that problem.
  6. Yes it was set to On. Thanks
  7. When you reinstall DCG find the endcampaign.dcg in the DCG data folder, open it in your text editor of choice and add this at the end of the text [Tarawa] Campaign=Pacific_Campaign EndDate=23/11/1943 Victor=Red
  8. No big deal! But is it: 19410809 TimeTable Off 19410810 TimeTable On 19410810 FrontMovement=False or 19410809 TimeTable Off 19410810 TimeTable On 19410810 FrontMovement False
  9. Ummm I will let some of the DCG experts answer that - But the clue would be to look in the endcampaign.dcg - that is where the trigger to end the campaign lies. Do you mind posting it here and we can assess it?
  10. Sorry Pandacat I gave you wrong information about CUP It has 5 Modules Maps (FOR ALL 4 Modules) Dawn of Flight (WW I) WAW (WW II) JTW (Jet War) TGA (The Golden Age of Flight) This is the main link http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/board,241.0.html I only use WAW. The key to understand is the use of JSGME, which is how you activate and deactivate sub mods that are designed for WAW (..or other modules) The 20 files can be found here http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/board,250.0.html Download and install in order. Delete the necessary files when instructed from the JSGME folder for (#WAW folders) it's the files that starts It's really not hard - you just have to keep track of your install order and If you mess up - you have to start over. CUP works well with DCG - it's just that not all non original aircraft have readable weapon loadouts and some errors because this was all done by hand that's were sniperton's tool and DCG fix comes into it's own.
  11. Thanks for this information - let me make sure I understand you. 19410809 TimeTable Off 19410810 TimeTable On 19410810 FrontMovement=False There were no paratrooper drop. Allied side only have Bombers and Fighters, Axis side has bombers, Fighters and Transports (...to add variety to the missions) but the location allegiance switch was from Axis to Allied. The only issue is FrontMovement was set to True
  12. I checked my dcg.ini and I see FrontMovement=True (...which should be false) but can I set that in the timetable.dcg or change it in the GUI?
  13. HSFX has an issue with how it writes game actions to the log. If I am not mistaken, it was abbreviated and modified for SOW I think.... not sure. CUP has a very involved install process (all 20 modules have to be installed in the correct order, with frequent restore points and instructions to manually remove folders) Here is what I did. Download the maps to a folder (Maps) Download the files of the module you want into a folder (WAW) Make a clean IL-2FB install, update to 4.12 then install Modact Install the .zip files of the maps 1st and then either WAW (...only one I have) and all the other modules. That's it! CUP had 980+ aircraft thanks to sniperton they all can be used.
  14. Pandacat - here is the breakdown of the different IL-2 versions. IL-2 FB 4.13 Standalone Unmodded IL-2 FB DBW (Dark Blue World) IL-2 HSFX (Historical Fix) IL-2 UP (Ultra Pack) IL-2 FMT (The Full Montey) IL-2 CUP (Community Universal Patch Note: This replaced FMT, UP and DBW) These versions do not have the same maps, aircraft/loadouts, static and moving land and see vehicles and effects/ eyecandy and functionality (...i.e. differential breaking that can be mapped to an axis) Since all of them have modded aircraft - Mod Act houses all of the FMs (button files) in addition to a few added mods that provide new functionality. I suggest looking at the SAS forum for details. I have 2 installations of IL-2 (HSFX and CUP). Note: Only HSFX and unmodded are designed specifically for online play.
  15. Yes - Paul didn't drink the mod cool-aid so the DCG files in 3.49 will not be in sync with any of the mods. What sniperton tool does is allow you to sync whatever game version you have to DCG. Note This tool only addresses aircraft and not static nor any other moving objects.
  16. Hey Paul - Can I set active front to yes/no in the timetable.dcg? In testing my Channel campaign - I noticed a location spontaneously change allegiance (...from Axis to Allied) without a ground battle after a 10 missions (3 weeks - timepassage = "FAST"). I didn't have Active Front checked so I guess there was an override - not sure where. In my endcampaign.dcg, I have a 90% destruction of Axis targets trigger a campaign loss - but that isn't location specific is it? So that wouldn't be a reason for the location to change sides?
  17. Gotcha! Ummm I need to see if this has bee fixed in 4.13. It's hardly a show stopper.
  18. CUP uses ModAct - Mod Act = Mod Activator. Basically all the new flyable aircraft in CUP need necessary files to work. However - you don't need CUP if you just want to use ModAct.
  19. Pandacat you will love this little tool from sniperton: Data Integrity Tool for DCG v0.24 You basically install Paul's DCG v3.49v and then DIT compares the .dcg aircraft files with your IL-2 version and tell you what aircraft and weapons your DCG files are missing and helps you sync them up. When you install CUP - snipeton and Moezilla have a tool that fixes the weapons so that DCG and the game can use them all.
  20. Paul - is there a way for you to offset the X,Y axis of bomber formations so that they are too close? The lagging flight tends to run into the back of the leading flight in a formation.
  21. The problem will more than likely lie in the .rds file
  22. Thanks Paul!
