• As you can see by the name, and the picture. I applied years back and unfortunately due to unfortunate life events, I only was able to make it through the recruit test flight before I was unable to commit to online sim flying. I’m finally back in a position where I have the time to sim fly again, and would love an opportunity to find a home here again. Thanks o7

It's great to hear from you again!  I think the last time we spoke was in 2015ish?

Unfortunately, we’re not currently accepting official applications for membership.  But we’d love for you to join us online when we fly Flying Circus!  It’s a great way to get to know us and see if JG1 is a squadron you’d like to be involved with.

Awesome! I’ve joined the Discord server, and have bookmarked the calendar. I appreciate the opportunity. if you need a body to fill a position for any events, please feel free to message me on discord and I will do my best to make myself available. You're certainly welcome to fly with us in Flanders in Flames. Registration is required if you do want to participate. We will be practicing this Tues evening at 9PM your time.

I’m getting married at the end of the month. I’m available for practice tomorrow night and alpha one on Saturday. I’m hooped for the other dates. Should I still sign up?

Sorry for the noob questions, but I just wanna make sure I’m ready for tonight’s practice. Is there a spot you usually meet? For briefings and such? I’m a complete noob to all this and have never joined a multiplayer server on IL-2.

I think they'll meet on FIF DIscord.  So that would be the place to look first.

And if you have a good time, we can start talking about getting you back in the group.

I ended up running into @Kliegmann in a voice channel. He was super helpful, and even took time out of his training to explain the rank structure here. He showed me the ropes, and helped me with a bunch of technical questions ans well ans explained the event. He defiantly deserves a Bravo Zulu. He was super helpful.  Got a chance to meet @Moxy and @Vonrd and a few of the other guys as well. I had a really fun time. The amount of effort put into making this event so detailed, and dynamic is incredible. I’m really looking forward to Saturday. I’ve committed to practice with them tomorrow night as well. Just wanted to say thanks again for all the help guys!  o7

Glad you had a good time!  Hopefully you'll be able to fly FIF this weekend.  It should be a blast.
