Hans von Freden Posted June 18 Report Posted June 18 o7 Ladies and Gents, I wanted to reach out and let you all know that I’ll be transferring out of JG1. This is really hard for me, as being part of this squadron has been a genuinely great experience, and I don’t have a single bad word or grudge toward anyone here. Truth be told, I’ve been thinking about this move for some time. WWI simming, and particularly fighter warfare has always been my real passion, and I’ve reached the point where I want to fly, and concentrate my efforts with a group that’s dedicated solely to this era. That being said, @Klaiber has approved, and authorized a transfer to JGr2. I’ve always had a love for German aircraft, so it feels right being on the next field over, opposed to heading across the mud to the other side of the lines. I’ll still be flying around the same skies, but just under a different tag from now on. I’m truly grateful for everything JG1 has provided me. Thank you for welcoming me in, and for everything you taught me, the laughs, and all the lessons learned along the way. You turned a brand new, green noob into a half competent pilot in a very short period. You’ve helped shape me into a better pilot and all around simmer, and JG1 will always have a special place in my heart. In the event of an emergency, JG1 will always be the first emergency airfield I’ll consider turning to. It will always be my second home. It’s been an absolute pleasure flying with you all. I’ll still see you in the skies. o7 Regards, von Freden Vonrd, Britchot, Maushake and 2 others 3 2 Quote
Klaiber Posted June 20 Report Posted June 20 Hi vF, While we’re definitely going to miss having you around on a regular basis, I think we're all very excited for you. JGr2 is a great bunch of guys. And since WWI aviation is your true passion, joining a group that dedicates 100% of their time to that era makes total sense. You’ve been a fantastic part of our community, and they are lucky to have you in their ranks. Please don't be a stranger, however! You are always welcome to hop back into our Discord or forums whenever you want, and the door is always open if you ever want to fly with us during our practice sessions. Wishing you clear skies, tailwinds, and plenty of excellent dogfights! Hans von Freden 1 Quote
