November 25, 201510 yr comment_18171 Looks like you're well aware of what to expect as an A&P. You pretty much have to be an aviation nut (yep, that's me). Don't expect to get rich though. $30/hr is pretty much the top pay although it might be more at a major airline. Starting pay is usually not much above minimum wage. Still, I really enjoy my job... usually. Report
November 27, 201510 yr comment_18189 I'm aware of the dreaded pay you get. I know that Disney offers graveyard shifts starting at 26 an hour for working on rides. My father used to be a mechanic for United until he became a pilot for them. About a decade later he left the airline business. The amount of crews they lack are so bad that airlines are now hiring Captains rather than F/Os for starters. Report
