Peregrine3 Posted August 14, 2017 Report Posted August 14, 2017 Hi guys. I heard from HotleadColdfeet that you were presently recruiting new pilots. I like the idea of mutually supportive game play. Timezone: Est Joystick Logitech 3D Pro TeamSpeak with mic and TrackIR installed Cliffs of Dover, Microsoft Flight I've been flying sims now for about 10 years. J5_Hotlead 1 Quote

Vonrd Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 Hi Peregrine3, I see from your application info that you're in Rhode Island. I lived there from 1984 - 1990. Working at RISD in the Glass Dept. Also got my Private Pilot's at North Central State Airport in Smithfield. I'm one of the several members that flies Cliffs of Dover. Hoping to fly with you. Quote
Peregrine3 Posted August 16, 2017 Author Report Posted August 16, 2017 Hi Vonrd, I'm glad to know you were able to acquire your pilots license here at old north central...a great little airport. Unfortunately times have changed and now the skies seem so much busier that the FAA no longer want the private pilot flying so much around here near our very business airports. My brother lived in Desert Hot Springs CA. I was very impressed with the private pilot community out there. That seems to be the place to be if you want to spread your wings:) Quote
Britchot Posted August 16, 2017 Report Posted August 16, 2017 As a resident of Southern California, I do admit, they have a wonderful aviation mindset. I can't wait to get home to get back into the cockpit. Also, welcome to the forum, I look forward to meeting you online. Quote
Kliegmann Posted August 16, 2017 Report Posted August 16, 2017 Wow, just looked up KSFZ. Logan to the NE, Providence to the South, another Charlie airspace to the West. I learned to fly in Kenosha, and currently fly out of Waukegan ( http://vfrmap.com/?type=vfrc&lat=41.921&lon=-71.491&zoom=10) Dealing with Bravo (especially KORD) and Charlie airspace can be a hoot.
