Working my way back

Mölders

Recommended Posts

Salut! JG1,

It’s been too long. I flew with this great group of virtual aviators back in 2005-2006 under the nom de guerre, Mölders. I’m not ready to start flying again quite yet, but I just wanted to reintroduce myself to the group, start lurking the boards, and hopefully start flying in the near future.

-What is your Timezone?

Eastern

-Do you have a joystick or HOTAS?

HOTAS (Warthog, never opened lol)

-Do you have TeamSpeak installed, as well as a working microphone?

TeamSpeak and Headset (just need a refresher on use)

-Do you have TrackIR, or a FreeTrack system for view control?

Older TrackIR, dreaming of making the jump to an Oculus

-What sims are you currently flying?

DCS A-10 and Arma 3, but very seldom.

-How did you hear about JG1?

I’m an alumn from a while back.

-Is there anything else that you'd like us to know?

I keep a pretty busy unpredictable schedule, but whenever I start flying I will reliably be there for the flights I commit to. I actually became an Army Aviator after I stopped flying with JG1. I’m working as the Operations Officer for an Air Ambulance detachment. It’s a lot of fun, but we have a busy duty schedule.

I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all and hopefully fly with you all soon.

Salut!

Hiya Raf,,,

About the same story for me too. Getting back into flight sims after a long hiatus can be a frustrating journey with the technical aspects of gadget setup and of course the learning curve of any unfamiliar flight sim. But you'll bust right back into the groove and find your love for the skies again. Plus you'll find the flieger of JG1 most helpful and understanding . I was grounded until 2 or 3 months ago since 2008 and trust me,, the rust will have built up on your wings leading edges for sure.

Free advice,,,, relax and listen. These guys in here will have you flying straight again in no time.

~Salute~

Molders! Great to hear from you.

It's funny, because your name came up a few months ago. We were looking through some of the old quizzes that Richter had made, and I found some of yours.

I'll drop you an email tonight, to the address you used to register.

Looking forward to catching up.

Oh man, Richter was the best! When I was in Army flight school I remember thinking, wow I already know this from my JG1 training with Richter. It would be awesome to know what he’s up to.

Sturtz, you’re absolutely right, the comraderie and mutual support are what make these communities awesome. I look forward to meeting new people, reconnecting with others, and learning from everyone.

If no one else is flying as Werner Mölders, I’d love to get back into character. However, I don’t want to cramp anyone’s style, I can always start fresh.

Molders works. :)  Would you like me to change your forum name?  Login would be the same as now.
