Firefly Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 Three years ago today I landed in Duxford for Flying Legends 2017. I actually arrived a day early to check out the museum, which has an incredible collection of WW2 birds. I even got to sit in the cockpit section of a Bristol Blenheim - was that a tight fit (I am not a big lad by any stretch of the imagination)! I took some pictures along the way, thought I'd share them here for your viewing enjoyment. Please excuse the subpar quality, I'm not a very good photographer... I resized them to 50% of the original size so the upload time is manageable, the internet here is a stinking pile of horse manure. Anyway, enjoy! Firefly Posted July 8, 2020 Author Report Posted July 8, 2020 This was by far the best airshow I've ever been to, plus the museum is world class. Glad you enjoyed the pictures! Lipfert 1 Quote

I had the tickets booked for this year's show, but it'd been cancelled for obvious reasons. My uncle and I are heading there next year, hope the pandemic subsides by then. GenMarkof 1 Quote

Pfeil Posted July 10, 2020 Report Posted July 10, 2020 If you bought a ticket for Duxford 2021 you can win a flight in a Spitfire Quote
Firefly Posted July 10, 2020 Author Report Posted July 10, 2020 That's a different event mate, Duxford hosts several shows every year. When I bought my tickets to FL2020 there was no prize lottery... And I'd give A LOT to be able to fly in a 2-seater warbird. Quote
