I ordered the head strap. I'm going to see if I can use it with my headphones first, if not I will order the upgraded speakers. I don't wear glasses so I'm hoping the stock faceplate will work.

Well, when I returned from travel, my system started blue screening at the desktop, and eventually, my boot disk got corrupted and was unrecoverable. So, I had to reformat the disk (I've got everything backed up), but it updated to Win 11 v. 24H2. Consequently, my Reverb G2 is now a very unattractive paperweight. I ordered a Crystal Light, but won't be here for a bit. I'll be back when I can. Ferd

Thanks Von. It's so incredibly frustrating, it puts me in a pissy mood every time it happens. Only happens with DCS, more often (but not always) online. As you said, I completely uninstalled DCS and reinstalled, no luck (but, aside from the game crashing intermittently, when it is running it seems to run smoother since I reinstalled and got rid of the DCSbeta folders, etc.). I've tried isolating the problem by turning off voiceattack, discord, srs, but it keeps happening. Other than Windows defender I don't have any other security or 3rd party software except the normal drivers for joystick and VR headset etc. I uninstalled and reinstalled the VR driver just to make sure it wasn't that, but still happens. Also, I run all those things with IL2 and it works fine with no crashing. I've run DISM restorehealth, scandisk /r, memtest several times, all come back clean with no system file, disk or memory corruption. It's not overheating and I checked voltages with HWMonitor, all good. Yesterday I completely uninstalled the Nvidia driver and then did a deep clean with Driver cleaner DDU, then reinstalled. I don't do that with every driver update because I had some issues in the past with Driver Cleaner DDU corrupting system files. But, played about an hour on Warbirds without crashing so fingers crossed. All suggestions welcome. Ferd

For those of you that use DLSS for DCS, there is a new version of DLSS driver out, v3.6.0. DCS currently uses version 3.5.0. Download it here: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/ Put the file in your main DCS Bin-MT folder. If you do a game repair or update, you'll have to replace it again. DCS Forums are saying that you should also get the newest Nvidia driver to take advantage of the changes. Seems clearer and less ghosting to me but could be placebo. Ferd

You can keep your DLSS updated for DCS by downloading latest here: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/ and replacing the nvngx_dlss.dll into DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt in the main game directory (not the Saved Games Directory). Not sure that it helps anything but doesn't seem to hurt it either.

Disable it through the XR Toolkit Companion that should have installed when you installed the package. Just uncheck DCS.EXE at the bottom. Since I got my 4090 and didn't need FSR anymore, I was really only using it for sharpening and some small color adjustments. Now that the game supports sharpening in-game, I didn't see the point in using it anymore. Don't know if it made any real difference but, it felt good to disable.....

Liking the hotfix patch. SSS now works with Dlss and the shadows do look nice with no noticeable performance hit for me. Running basically same config as Brit but all textures, shadows cranked all the way up, 1.3 Pixel Density. Getting high-60s average and it looks really nice and smooth. Disabled OpenXR toolkit in windows DLSS at quality, LOD switch at 2. Ghosting seems lessened, but the rubik's cube black dots are still there at max LOD. That's the last issue for me with 2.9. Running Nvidia 4090 and 12th gen I9 CPU, Reverb G2

Reprojection disabled. But, after testing a little more I think Turbo is inducing some lag so for 2FPS I just turned it off.
