  1. Sorry, meant to post this yesterday but drank too much and passed out. For those having trouble with OpenXR Toolkit 1.2.1 being "disabled" (open Toolkit Companion and "disable" check box is ticked and can't untick)after loading: 1. Uninstall OpenXR Toolkit 1.2.1 2. Uninstall Necksafer (your settings for Necksafer and OpenXR Toolkit should come back after you reinstall) 3. Use the registry editor to go to the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenXR\1\ApiLayers\Implicit and delete everything in that folder (the default key can't be deleted) 4. Reinstall OpenXR Toolkit 1.2.1 5. Reinstall Necksafer Should now be working. My problem was having two Necksafer API keys in the registry. Once uninstalled and the duplicate key deleted, 1.2.1 installed fine and is working. P.S. gained about 2 fps enabling "Turbo" in toolkit. Ferd
  2. Wow.
  3. I disable Gsync with VR, but I don't think I see any difference in FPS either way.
  4. Seems smoother but could be placebo. I disabled GUI output and joystick auto reconnect so maybe that helped.
  5. Also, Iceman's videos are good for setup : https://www.youtube.com/user/davidwa73
  6. You have to center it when in-game for it to start working.
  7. Mucho thanks to Kliegerman, Moxy and everyone else involved with putting this on.
  8. For me the script that places Necksafer API entries into the registry via the file C:\Program Files\OpenXrApiLayer\Install-XR_APILAYER_NOVENDOR_XRNeckSafer.ps1 wouldn't work right so Necksafer wouldn't hook with IL2. I Had to manually enter them into the registry. You will know if you've followed all the install steps but when you start Necksafer on the desktop and hit the button at the top = "Show active OpenXR API Layers", XR_APILAYER_NOVENDOR_XRNeckSafer is not listed as an API Layer. If anyone is having that problem let me know and I'll post the entry you have to make in the registry.
  9. Thanks Haack. Got it all working. I get about the same performance as with Steam VR but seems a bit smoother and I like the XR tools to adjust appearance. Haven't tried it on DCS yet.
  10. NVM, saw you got it. Sorry it didn't help.
  11. In the headset only.
  12. Sorry Jaus, my bad it's actually not the gear, it's the smiley mask guy icon on the far left "Windows mixed reality for steamvr" From there it's "Graphics"... "force directx11"
  13. Forcing DirectX 11 in Steam VR has helped my VR performance and clarity tremendously in both DCS and IL-2. Instantly got about 15-20 FPS increase and was able to turn off motion reprojection and also increase the resolution. Using Reverb G2 with 2080TI. I'm now getting consistently about 50-60 FPS, no stutters. In IL2 I have MSAA at 4 with everything else pretty much maxed out. Still playing around with DCS but this definitely increased performance dramatically there too. It is a setting in the VR Dashboard, not in the Windows Desktop Steam VR settings. Have to get to it using your VR controllers. For me pressing up or down on controller thumbstick while steamvr is running (game not running) brings it up. Setting is in the little "settings" gear icon.
  14. That is super cool. Love the way it is setup for viewing.

  20. The wife and I went to the AF museum a couple of years ago. Really really awesome. I could have spent a week in there but would have been single by the time I left.
  21. That was a good shot.
  22. My Opa's U-boat pocket watch. It runs well but I'm too afraid to carry it around.
