Negative. It's a cool idea though.

Sorry, I missed this post. I suspect that your DCG folder and/or IL-2 folder and some/all subfolders are set to READ ONLY. They must be READ/WRITE for DCG to update the campaign files and add mission files.

Changing the map of an existing campaign
Lowengrin replied to Xrhstakos98's topic in DCG Public Discussion
Not without creating new .rds .srd and .rls files as well as tweaking some others. There is a document laying out the process: https://forum.jg1.org/topic/7662-lonestars-create-an-external-dcg-campaign-pdf/ It's old, but a still remarkably accurate document. There have been some new timetable commands added to DCG since it was written, but they are very specific and not necessary. -
`` is not a valid floating point value error
Lowengrin replied to _0berst_'s topic in DCG Bug Reports
I don't know. Have you downloaded the latest build? -
The Ardennes map is so small it's almost impossible not to have ground units in range of airfields.
-
One new "feature" is that planes may spawn on airfields in dangerously close to the front and become cannon-fodder for the enemy....

`` is not a valid floating point value error

I gave Crete41 a try from the German side (no mods) with the latest build and it appear to work okay. -
Found a bug where, when generating a new campaign, if the only friendly base is too close to the front, DCG opts not to give the player's squadron any base (so never generating a mission). This build (#18) should/maybe/might correct this issue (and/or create new ones). Edit: Build #19 is now available.
-
Another quick update (build #17). Added an error message for cases where the upgrade for a plane type doesn't actually exist in the class.dcg data. It's very specific but was causing the dreaded '"" is not an integer error.'
-
Beta 3.50 (build #16) increases the allpayload data file to 20,000 records.
-
Yes. There are settings to force night mission on the Custom Mission Panel. Not only can you set whether you want to fly day or night missions, you can even set a window of time in which to run those missions.
-
Yes, it's a bit clunky, but that will work.

Trouble adding infantry units to Lonestar Solomons Campaign
Lowengrin replied to kbetz's topic in DCG Public Discussion
Good to hear. -
I hope you figured this out, but it seems like you've got some missing files (probably from IL2 as DCG uses the data files from it to set up the options for scenarios)....

Trouble adding infantry units to Lonestar Solomons Campaign
Lowengrin replied to kbetz's topic in DCG Public Discussion
No, infantry columns are not coded into DCG. Are these in some recent update or are they included through modding? -
Lonestar's Create an External DCG Campaign PDF
Lowengrin replied to Lowengrin's topic in DCG Announcements
Skimming the old thread at Missions4Today, it seems fairly up to date. The file format hasn't changed very much in thirteen years. The ship name file might be newer, but it's fairly obvious how to use it. -
I'm unsure what will happen if you specify "default" in allpayloads.dcg file. Without testing, I assume it will work as expected. Adding "none" to the file should also be fine, but the game assumes for drop tank and anti-shipping that no entry is none.

I haven't a lot of experience using IL2 from Steam - my copy is so old, I have a CD.... I do know that if your Steam game is corrupt, you can always try verifying the integrity of the files. Do this by clicking on the game in Steam and selection Properties and then Files...
-
The 6th ordinance column can only be changed through the GUI (Aircraft panel) as 99% of them are "default". As it's used only for fighter patrols/sweeps and transfers, I never bothered to create a timetable command for it.
-
If you have any specific questions regarding these commands, just post them below.

Hi, the link above is working for me (but only when logged into my account).

The attachment is here (it had been bumped to a previous page). https://forum.jg1.org/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=4155&key=0ff7ad4e35144a702d84404b79efc103
