I reedited the campaign a bit and fixed some errors. The _seaplane location comes into the srd file. I deleted it from your rds file, you have to add it to the srd again. Dont use an _airstrip but airfield location as homebase. Space inbetween location names create errors e.g. Cape _York _Ocean should be used in the prd file ,however it shouldnt be a showstopper here. I aswell re edited the allcampaigns and map.dcg file, I suppose there was the main error, as the allcampaigns.dcg pointed to ag_australia although it should be australia. I am at work atm, so I am not able to test it here. Maybe you want to give it a try. The easiest way to keep an eye on your folders is to create a campaign in coop or dogfight mode (just for testing sake), as the folder is created in the DCG folder. You willl find all created missions (mark "safe copy of mission" under mode) australia_nep.zip

MDS is working for Coop & SP. Thx a lot buddy!

Did you check if that fixes already did the trick?

Top Notch! Gonna check the new beta and introduced features tommorrow. Thx Lo!

Sometimes I feel to be in a wrong movie... @Paul: request remains. I hope you see what i am asking for.
-
No it does not. Maybe you want to read my request once again. For SP and Coop missions the MDS sction is not created /copied from the template into each mission The mds.dcg file is created by default from the entry in the template for each generated campaign but not into coop mission section, which has logical reasons, however some MDS features are useable in ccop or SP aswell. When I copy the MDS section from the template by hand into the generated mission file the MDS features are enabled for Coop play aswell. So I guess it is "just" a copy function .... or did I made my mind to easy here?

Is it possible to add the [MDS] section to coop missions aswell, I guess SP would be same then. For now only dogfight Missions seem to get the [MDS] section added. The target is to use the MDS features partly in Coop aswell, like en/disable vectoring, radio comms, hidding enemy airfield,Scouts etc. The template offers an MDS section [MAIN] MAP Kursk/load.ini TIME 12.000002 CloudType 1 CloudHeight 1500.0 player III_JG5_300 army 2 playerNum 0 [SEASON] Year 1940 Month 7 Day 15 [WEATHER] WindDirection 0.0 WindSpeed 0.0 Gust 0 Turbulence 0 [MDS] MDS_Radar_SetRadarToAdvanceMode 0 MDS_Radar_RefreshInterval 0 MDS_Radar_DisableVectoring 1 MDS_Radar_EnableTowerCommunications 1 MDS_Radar_ShipsAsRadar 0 MDS_Radar_ShipRadar_MaxRange 100 MDS_Radar_ShipRadar_MinHeight 100 MDS_Radar_ShipRadar_MaxHeight 5000 MDS_Radar_ShipSmallRadar_MaxRange 25 MDS_Radar_ShipSmallRadar_MinHeight 0 MDS_Radar_ShipSmallRadar_MaxHeight 2000 MDS_Radar_ScoutsAsRadar 0 MDS_Radar_ScoutRadar_MaxRange 2 MDS_Radar_ScoutRadar_DeltaHeight 1500 MDS_Radar_HideUnpopulatedAirstripsFromMinimap 1 MDS_Radar_ScoutGroundObjects_Alpha 5 MDS_Radar_ScoutCompleteRecon 0 MDS_Misc_DisableAIRadioChatter 1 MDS_Misc_DespawnAIPlanesAfterLanding 1 MDS_Misc_HidePlayersCountOnHomeBase 0 MDS_Misc_BombsCat1_CratersVisibilityMultiplier 1.0 MDS_Misc_BombsCat2_CratersVisibilityMultiplier 1.0 MDS_Misc_BombsCat3_CratersVisibilityMultiplier 1.0 [RespawnTime] Bigship 1800 Ship 1800 Aeroanchored 1800 Artillery 1800 Searchlight 1800 [Wing] I_JG5_100 II_JG5_100 III_JG5_100 a coop does not. Mmmh...could be probably an explanation for some things, not going the right way.... Thx m8.

Do certain train wagons count aswell into the supply rates? Like wagon1, wagon2 or wagon8 for oil? Or was I the past years all wrong with that?

Hi Klaiber, thi is pretty much the same system I build in 2009. The bottleneck will be most probably your Bloomfield in default clock. That said you should seriously consider to lift the clock of the I7. If you are using the boxed cooler you will be able to get 3 Ghz without any probs, should be 3.2Ghz. The cores` max temp is given at 102°C by intel , so much more than common mondern cores today and even more you will ever reach or need. If you got a more decent cooler or even a AiO cooler you should be able to gain 3.99 - 4,2 Ghz. As I got aswell an Asus Board in those times and the same core, although different RAM I could give you my Bios values. That way you can move step by step to a suitable core clock of your I7. Leaving the 920 at 2,66Ghz is actually a sin, when you invest for remaining hardware updates. BoS,Clodo and Arma3 e.g. profit much more of CPU power than one may suppose. However there are so much tutorials in the web for clocking the I7 920. Easiest step with a boxed cooler without changing the voltage, is moving your BCLK to 150 and setting the multiplicator on manua in your Bios. 150 (BCLK) x20 (Multiplicator) = 3000mhz (Core clock)...using this lightweight of core clock is apperantly your duty If you are interested to keep an eye on the temperature use "RealTemp", however it is not needed in this area of clocking. The screenshot of the bios below, serves just to link you the way. Dont use the settings. You navigate to the AI Tweaker section, set the overclock tuner on manual and lift the BCLK frequncy to 150. Press F10, job done. No risk but more power/FPS for 5 clicks . I got also a velocity raptor, formerly my OS HDD, right now it became my data grave on demand. I always prefer the clean solution. Use a SSD install your OS and game to it. If you like to keep your old system on the Raptor for copying things from on to another and fomat it 2 weeks after for proper use. As for your HD6970, which is a nice card - used two of it in my rig those days - but it is also predestinated for clocking - not again... you will maybe think. But with MSI Afterburner it is quiet easy to lift it for around 10%, even with its default fan.Your default clock of the 6970 should be 880hmz depending on the version, its mem clock is at 1375mhz.The screen attached below shows the last stable configuration I used.Quiet handy tool as you are able to monitor each components. If you need help ,let me know. My two german pennies.

Basically you will be doing fine using HSFX 7.0.3 and 4.12. You can use the stock campaigns coming with DCG without touching any files, as long as you dont want to exchange mod planes instead. If you would like to use a real grandcampaign like flying from 41 to 45 stick to the stock campaigns. Maybe you should consider adding more ground forces and squadrons to benefit the advanced pc power. There are aswell some decent user made campaigns out there, just google for them our search e.g. at HSFX/SAS Forums or Mission4Today. As soons as you want to use mod planes instead of default planes you need to exchange some of the files, mentioned by Lowengrin, in which the mod planes are added. You can either google for the files like DCG HSFX files or check the forums. If you are interested in coop play at MET, you maybe want to give us a try by following my sig. As we already got one english speaking form US aswell, language shouldnt be prob.

Top! Thx a lot m8!

Still no word about the updated Edge Engine Basically I really like what DCS is creating, it hits the details I love to play with in a simulation. But I miss proper view settings, as fro now the engine in useless for online dogfights, when it comes to "closer quarter combat" like we have with prop machines. Of course I know the engine was developed on jet fight puposes, however I really hope Edge to be updated soon.

coolaroony . Thx a lot.

Noone mentioned anything about a crypted solution ??

Hi Paul, do you think it would be possible to create a timetable command to control the delay some squadrons may spawn? sth like 19430310 startdelay 1 //(5minutes later) 19430310 startdelay 2 //(10minutes later) 19430310 startdelay 3 //(15 mintes later) I guess you already hardcoded sth like that for 5 mins? That way it would be easier to populate a map for a longer time. Of course I can just tell only from my point of view. Our campaign is running one hour at least and 90-120 min at max. Most AI return to base after 40-50min, depending of the mission areas and radius of course. However by a timetable command like that one could time the squadrons to personal desires.

Thx Paul for your enduring work since years! Both thumbs up.

Tried 4-BT7 1 193901 194405 4-T34_85 01/02 instead? Upgrading tanks work fine in our campaigns in complete development chains. So i dont think there is an issue with DCG.

It is really ashame, we seem to had a quick view on an acceptable and valid sequel for WW2 flight simming on the horizon. Within the past weeks the Devs seem to get completely off the rails by their decisions. Looks like they will hit the empty gap between flight sims like Clodo or Il2 1946 and War Thunder. Maybe I am going to far with my opinions here, but as flight simming is one of my passions, it bothers me, although it shouldnt,as it is and keep just being a game. After the last update , " the we-lock-your-acceleration-update " - my hopes moved further down the slope. I humbled about this post at SimHQ, which sums my feeling and opinons very well tbh. And as I am not native speaking english I guess it is easier to post the crosslink to the post. (the ironic character to the post: the OP is a fromer EA and Activision developer ) Dont get me wrong, I think the game is basically a solid piece to work with, although already a kind of outdated. You already mentioned clickable cockpits, a Dx11 render path would have been also future signing... but well, within that short of time I can follow these decisions. But for sure I cant follow balancing in FM belongs nor can I follow a heartless and not motivating campaign, which will be the opener for each gaming portal or gaming magazine to judge about the game. We all know about the power of those preview plattforms to crucifie a game or not.Even less I can follow the control bondage character of the game like Controlling grafic presets, Controlling skin management ,Controllng user name ,Controlling diffculty settings ,Controlling fmb accessors. I start to go off again ... Slightly off topic: we experimented with a half baking solution of clickable cockpits by a tool called Helios. You map your own levers and button for the cockpit and move it to a desired location on the screen and make it as transparent as you like. As you create the buttons yourself in an editor, you can name them as you like eg. in english . Of course this is far off a serious clickable cockpit, but you are able to get off keyboard key. Never tested it in Il 1946 or Rof but I see no reason why it should work here aswell. You ae able to create via a editor own profiles, I attach a test profile for those who want to sneak in it without creating an own one for testing sake. Check some more screenshots in the german section of BoS forums here Maybe a picture sais more (credits belong to Melhilion)

Thx m8.

Unbelievable that good piece of flight sim is going to be limited by some stupid & odd decisions far off, the unlock nonsense just peaks out the blocked FMB ,Skins ,Grafic Settings,or DServer for everyone Even more suprising as most developers are old Il2 1946 players and should know where flight simmer come from and got to .... even new brone flight simmer. Really ashame.

Depends on your settings you use in DCG. I recommend to check the Panel Article Lowengrin posted. Squadron Density may be on high, as most common pc are capable of handling it. Squadron Balance on balance to get even squadron counts on both sides. Within the squadron editor, choose your minimum plane count, which can effect the downgrades if activated. Are the historic production dates checked and do they fit to your used planes? Maybe you want to change that in the class editor or just deactivate the option. Maybe you want to post your campaign settings?

1./JG42 MDS Campaign - each Thursday evening
Nephris replied to Nephris's topic in DCG Public Discussion
Thanks for the flowers You are highly welcome to fly with us, we had a great evening together. Dont hesitate if you would like to invite several of your former squadron m8ts to join the campaign aswell. Reports of yesterday missions are up-to-date. As for your question, which campaign was done ,which won or a loss, you will find a link on the menu tab called "roadmap", which links to all past campaigns (mouseover the pins). Red pins are losses ,blue won, black a draw and white the running campaign. The most effective way to reach us ,will be by the forum of il2-club.de. Although not the forum of my squadron, but the plattform I share the info for all the guys participating, or where i answer question to the running campaign etc. The board language can be switched to english aswell. Nevertheless I will strafe this thread weekly. Regarding international character of the website: The last reports on website should now be again translated in english, so you dont need to use Google tranlsator (i hope...) Basically the website should notice your browser not being german and switches automatically to english.(/?lang=en) Same belongs to the linked articles on the website. -
1./JG42 MDS Campaign - each Thursday evening
Nephris replied to Nephris's topic in DCG Public Discussion
The war moved on to 1943, marking the end of Heeresgruppe Afrika, former known as DAK. Wehrmacht forces try to hold the remaining african bridgehead to the end of May 1943, awhile the Allies are trying to capture the last forces at the african coast. Each pilot or squadron of any skills is still welcome to join us. Choose whatever side you like. The only requirement is to get up into air in one piece. Check out the website for more information and TS adress -
Check the main website lowengrin.dcg which got several documents to follow for ausing DCG. Or join us with your m8s in flying regular & weekly DCG coop campaigns covering the complete world war. Although the website is less cared in english lately, we all speak english. Choose whatever side you would like to fly, learn how to use DCG or ask question in TS and use it following on you own. However it is no real difference using it in singleplayer or coop but enabling the mark for coop in the gui.
