Stahl got a reaction from Klaiber in Order of Battle WW2 - KriegsmarineThis one will be difficult as the Kreigsmarine is extremely out gunned. Still a great addition to OOB and fun play through

Stahl got a reaction from Snaggle in Order of Battle: Morning SunThe Desert campaign in OOB is fun. Like I mentioned, Panzer Corps II is just as much fun and same turn based strategy. My vote if applicable is the KriegsMarine DLC, quick, extremely challenging, and you are definitely out gunned, classed, and underwater 😬

Stahl reacted to Snaggle in Order of Battle: Morning Sun@Stahl, I have never tried Panzer Corps II, as it came out right after I got all the DLC for OOB.
I like turn based games better gives me time have a drink while I play...
After Morning Sun, I will be moving on to the European area of operations, and the Kriegsmarine might be next, right now leaning towards the desert. Yes I know that isn't Europe. 😁

Stahl got a reaction from Heinrich in IL-2 BoX Screenshot ThreadDefinitely, we had five SIA online with @WWCephas last night and each of us expressed our gratitude for his mad skills in map design.
He recently completed a Battle of Britain map that we flew and it is an amazing map!
He also spoke about adding tanks and many other design features planned for release. The guy is talented when it come to map design...
@Etzel, @Greif, @Heinrich, spoke with him about the Arnhem, Nijmegen map and the Ground Battle portion. He has been modifying all the maps so some may have glitches here and there. Told me he will check the design, triggers, and code as his modifications progress.

Stahl reacted to Greif in IL-2 BoX Screenshot Thread@Etzel thank you again for posting these screenshots, I always very much enjoy being able to watch back some of the great moments of our sorties! As mentioned, this was a great evening where the team was on a roll with some very nice and effective team coordinated actions 👍
@Stahl very much agreed, the quality of the missions on the Wingwalkers server is off the charts, lots of dedication and outright talent in the mission design indeed. That's the reason why we tend to give (constructive) feedback when we observe peculiar behaviour when we play them, so that we can assist ever so slightly in their effort of realising these great and atmospheric missions.

Stahl reacted to Etzel in IL-2 BoX Screenshot ThreadSo thanks to all Pilots flying with me and thanks to @WWCephas for running that server with such cool missions!
Salute!!

Stahl reacted to Etzel in IL-2 BoX Screenshot Thread4th Part: Some more impressions of the ongoing attacks:
Again a ruined skip bomb because of too high and too late:
Left engine on fire after ground fire hit:
But it was really amazing how long the J88 C6 still keeps flyable in that situation, at least long enough to deliver the remainig bombs on another ship (to avoid waste of valuable material 🤪:
...was at least able to fly the plane out of the action zone ion direction to the beach, before ditching on water and swimming back home..... 😉

Stahl reacted to Etzel in IL-2 BoX Screenshot Thread3rd Part: Organisation of the attack... it is not so easy to process all the information u receive during the action => even that we really were focussing on calling in's and out's near miss situations happen:
But well, everything was fine and we got it:
Should have whatched my engine settings better.... Engine 1 stopped propably after flying to long on emergency (maybe also 1 bullet hit it.. don't know):
..well, that's not a reason not to continue with some strafing on the way home:
...which was no good idea, because finally the crew of this ship killed the pilot just in that moment:
The gunner was able too jump out....
...but I am affraid also he did not survive this....

Stahl reacted to Etzel in IL-2 BoX Screenshot Thread2nd Part: Skip bombing training with the Ju88 C6:
Dropping 1 500 from that position...
...was too late and/or to high:
Also with 2 Pairs of 50 kgs I was not too successfull.... 😕

Stahl reacted to Etzel in IL-2 BoX Screenshot ThreadAgain some screens of the action we had the WingWalkers Server on the new Normandy Invasion map this week. Pilots involved were @Heinrich, @Greif , @Sancho Panzer, @loopy and on of the days also @Stahl joined the fun (allthough I don't know if it was at those missions where the screenshots are taken).
1st Part: Ship Attacks with a 190 A6

Stahl got a reaction from Erhardt in ApplicationWell Gentlemen my most sincere apologies. I should have read the Dicta before posting here for membership.
"5. Unless given a special exemption by the JG1 Stab, we prohibit pilots from holding membership within other outside flight simulator squadrons."
Part of the reason I applied was that my squadron does not fly on a regular basis, more on a whim and spur of the moment. I assumed that as an applicant I could make every single Friday or Saturday 2100 hour NA session, so I applied without knowledge of the Dicta. Then I do a follow up and read on Discord about Tuesday and Thursday training at 2100 hours, which I would not be able to attend due to rising early for work ( Such a dirty four letter word but gotta eat and pay bills. ) at 0400 hours Monday thru Friday.
The squadron I am a member within does a great job of teamwork, esprit de corp, tactics and mutual support when they fly, just wished they would fly more often... However that being said, I joined with them and can not with good conscious leave them.
If you as a squadron leaders and members have no objections, I can fly ad hoc with members as I did last night with the three outstanding Gentlemen who allowed me to join their server mission.
Once again my most sincere apology for my mistake. If you deem it necessary I will voluntarily terminate my account here and not fly with your squadron members. Thank you for your time and consideration.
James

Stahl got a reaction from Erhardt in ApplicationThank you Gentlemen. I have had some text conversations with the CO @Klaiber and found the agreement to be mutual in as far as flights with the Squadron. I will be joining in on some pug flights and training sessions when available and will see you in the air.
Thank you, each of you for such a warm welcome.
Thank you for allowing me to participate as well.

IL-2 All collector planes, both FC's, Normandy, Bodenplatte, Stalingrad, Moscow, Kuban, Tank Crew. Might have been easier to just say all but the C-47 only because it is not out at this time...
Cliffs of Dover, no Tobruk. Don't fly these since going VR, that and I PIF'ed my TrackIR to my wife's son. Besides heard a rumor they might be VR soon.
No DCS cause my better half thinks I spent to much on IL-2 ?????
The things women think!!! Why doesn't she understand that if I'm flying, I'm not out gallivanting and getting into mischief !
IL-2 Forum is where you found me? or is that the other way around???
