Lowengrin Posted February 24, 2017 Author Report Posted February 24, 2017 I wonder if I'll still be updating DCG in my 80s? Quote
idefix44 Posted February 24, 2017 Report Posted February 24, 2017 Long live the Lowengrin king! Quote
Lowengrin Posted February 24, 2017 Author Report Posted February 24, 2017 King? Ha! Slave to a program I threw together to convince Maddox Games that a dynamic campaign was possible. Quote
Lowengrin Posted February 24, 2017 Author Report Posted February 24, 2017 This is was test upload of the 3.49 Beta 8. My current ISP is discontinuing hosting webspace so I'm looking at alternatives ... like directly uploading to this forum. Quote
idefix44 Posted February 24, 2017 Report Posted February 24, 2017 Works fine for me. Ok, you're not the king. The GOD of dynamic campaigns Quote
Lowengrin Posted February 24, 2017 Author Report Posted February 24, 2017 Works fine for me. Ok, you're not the king. The GOD of dynamic campaigns Thanks! I still think DCG needs a presence on the Net so I'm giving blogspot a try. http://il2dcg.blogspot.ca/ Quote
Lowengrin Posted February 25, 2017 Author Report Posted February 25, 2017 Beta 9 is available. The only change is (hopefully) the proper spawning of static seaplanes. Edit: Beta 9 removed. See #10 below. Quote
Lowengrin Posted February 27, 2017 Author Report Posted February 27, 2017 Beta 10 fixes the seaplane issue...probably. Quote
wheelsup_cavu Posted March 11, 2017 Report Posted March 11, 2017 With all the IL-2 websites and their support that has fallen by the wayside in the last 5 years your continued support of this program is greatly appreciated. Wheels Lowengrin 1 Quote
Lowengrin Posted March 12, 2017 Author Report Posted March 12, 2017 Beta 11 adds location to the briefing's "Other News" for planes that were shot down or that crashed. il2dcg349beta11.zip vonOben 1 Quote
Nephris Posted March 25, 2017 Report Posted March 25, 2017 Hi Paul, thx again for your enduring work Quote
Lowengrin Posted April 21, 2017 Author Report Posted April 21, 2017 Latest beta integrates the [Mods] section of the mission. If a [Mods] section is added to the template mission, it will get imported into the campaign. Alternatively, a user can create a mds.dcg file in their campaign folder for use. Also added the Semovente 75/18 to the ground unit data. Edit: removed attachment. Quote
Lowengrin Posted July 8, 2017 Author Report Posted July 8, 2017 Latest beta (lucky 13) tweaks how human and AI squadrons work in MDS mode. Now if you set a squadron to "Human Only", it should not spawn AI planes. Also added ability for a user to create a de_names.dat file to replace the default German pilot names. For details, see: http://forum.jg1.org/topic/5015-some-german-letters-not-displayed-correctly-in-debriefing/?do=findComment&comment=31188 il2dcg349beta13.zip vonOben 1 Quote
vonOben Posted July 10, 2017 Report Posted July 10, 2017 Many thanks for the new beta Is it now possible to have a [Mods] Section in the mis-files as discussed here: http://forum.jg1.org/topic/4862-mods-section-in-mis-file/?do=findComment&comment=31108 Quote
Lowengrin Posted July 11, 2017 Author Report Posted July 11, 2017 Wasn't the [Mods] section added in beta 12...? Quote
vonOben Posted July 11, 2017 Report Posted July 11, 2017 Yes it was, sorry for not paying attention Latest beta integrates the [Mods] section of the mission. If a [Mods] section is added to the template mission, it will get imported into the campaign. Alternatively, a user can create a mds.dcg file in their campaign folder for use. vonOben Posted July 15, 2017 Report Posted July 15, 2017 I've updated from beta 12 only replaced the il2dcg.exe with the one from beta 13.Then I created a de_names.dat with 53 names just for test purposes and I placed it in the IL2DCG\Data\dgen folder since all other dat files are there. Is that how it's intended?I started a new DCG campaign but the names in pilot.dcg are not from the de_names.dat.If there is a de_names.dat then only names from there should be used? How is the de_names.dat supposed make the German letters display correctly? What I tried was to use the IL-2 codes for those special letters:ä äü üö öå å I also made another de_names.dat with ordinary umlaut letters, but it was not read either. My test files is attached. de_names.zip de_names.zip Quote
idefix44 Posted July 15, 2017 Report Posted July 15, 2017 DCG manages the de_names.dat file only since the 3.49b13 version. So update and follow the rule: more than 100 names. Quote
Lowengrin Posted July 15, 2017 Author Report Posted July 15, 2017 Did you try using the letters (ä, ü, ö, å) and not the codes? The codes should work in the game messages, but I'm not sure they will display properly in DCG itself. Quote
