So take a break from the forum for a couple of days and this thread shows up... Suddenly everyone's gotten very excited.
Okay, let's address these one by one...
@Klaiber, I never knew about that MiG-17 project, I'm really excited for it! Looks like a good match for the upcoming F-8 and A-6. We're about halfway towards building a sensible lineup of Vietnam-era warbirds. Now, if someone could please make the naval F-4 as well as the F-105... I wouldn't mind an early Fishbed either.
@Yogi, I'd like to be excited about Razbam's progress with the Flogger, but a) they have a lot on their plate already, b) I'll believe it when I see it. Razbam's reputation has taken a hit for good reason, so I'll withhold my judgement for now. The Flogger is one of my favourite aircraft ever, so I really hope they get it right the first time. I wouldn't read too much into the order of modules on their Discord server - the Falklands map seems fairly well developed at this stage, and yet it's quite far down on this list.
As for the Su-22, we're still not sure whether it's going to be made by Magnitude3 (see Christmas teaser) or the Red Star team. Either way it's still years from release... Which is a shame, because REDFOR desperately needs mud movers. I, for one, would LOVE to fly the Fitter in Polish colours.
@Pragr, the Polish Air Force still flies the Su-22, so if you'd like to experience that incredible feeling again then you should come to Poland - every once in a while they do formation fly-bys at airshows. The thunder those Lyulka engines generate is quite something.
@Vogel, I've heard somewhere Razbam decided to redo the MiG-23 model from scratch... And it shows. It's a quality model for sure, but what I'm really hoping for is that they get all the systems right.
For what it's worth, I'd like to be excited but I can't fail to notice a pattern here... I would love nothing more than a full set of 1970s and early 80s REDFOR aircraft, but it's going to take a while before any of these projects comes to fruition. Apologies for peeing on your fireplace chaps, but us Cold War lot are pretty far down on the order of ED's priorities now. All they want is a steady flow of revenue from the cash cows that are modern US-made aircraft (with the occasional Hind thrown in as a token gesture towards nerds like us).

Saw these today on Discord, the exterior model is looking really nice:

I really can not wait for the early access on this module, it's been a long time indeed since we got a full fidelity REDFOR jet. It just needs an F-4C to fight against :).

One of the moment I never forget is the low-level full-thrust flyby of Su-22 three-plane formation, when I was on the last military airshow in the town I live. I spotted them early, they got bigger and bigger but there was no sound. Then they flyby some 50 m away and just a moment later deafening bang came behind them.
Regarding the MiG-23 - this Beauty is on the stand at the airfield gate here, in Ceske Budejovice:

You can see it right here:

Had a Su-22 intercept one of our drones over Syria. The controllers told them that a fast mover was approaching from a certain angle and they turned the camera to look, got a great shot of it. They thought it was a MiG-21 until I saw the video during the debrief and corrected them.

I feel I would be spending a lot of time in a Su-22 if they ever made one as I do prefer ground attack to air to air in DCS or indeed any sim. Fighter pukes make movies - bomber pilots make history and that kind of shit....!

Su-22 would be rather cool :). Would be a great attacker aircraft!

Wow, a Fresco?  That would be awesome!
It took me a few minutes, but I found their website: https://redstarsimulations.com/
Apparently, after they make the MiG-17, they're considering either the Dassault Super Mystère or the Su-22 Fitter. @Firefly
    Pretty sweet!

Not sure if anyone noticed but RAZBAM recently changed the order of their module listing on their Discord. It used to be farther down on the list. Now its immediatly below 3 already released modules. Hmmm anything to be taken from this change? 🤔 Let the speculation begin... 🤣

I've struggled with my mental health at many points in my life, so I can't stress enough how important it is to have someone to talk to about your problems. My sister was the one gave me the number to my therapist. Thankfully I managed to get back on my feet and now I'm a (mostly) functional human being again. If it wasn't for the help I'd received things could've turned out very differently.
Thanks for raising awareness and offering your time @Snaggle. Sometimes knowing that there's someone out there who's willing to listen can make all the difference.

Well, these guys are doing the MB-339, so they're in a good position to make other Italian Air Force aircraft after that's done. If rumours are to be believed, their next project will be the Fiat G.91, but don't quote me on that. Some of their team members have already done some Starfighter stuff for other sims. I'd love to try out the F-104 ASA/M in DCS.
