True, made all the more dangerous by some serious wind that day. I was keeping an eye on the smoke rushing ENE just south of me. I was ready to load up into car if house caught but I kept the roof wet and an eye out . Really couldn't have "evacuated, all the cars in front of m house in street apparently took like 3 hours to get out of the "fire zone" Had a fire North of me, like 2 or 2.5 miles away. All the "evacuees would have had to go noth, that wat toward the lil spokane river. It's a windy, slow rode, I take my NRS up that road all the time, very badass for a bike. SO it's slow, the fire north was close to it. As slow as people were inching I'm sure more than 1 ran out of gas. you there you have it. I said a prayer, cooked up 3 lbs of bacon for me and my dogs, and we ate like kings and waited. Well, 4 kings, 1 queen. Fila Brasiliero Samson( he outweighs me by 60-70 lbs) Cooper, a chiweenie, Brutus and Zoe, french bulldogs. Milo and Oscar, my cats. I went up on my roof everal times, actually sat up there for awhile. Lo and behold, some sketchers are walking around. Well, they saw me on the roof, I was not unarmed, the gtf out of dodge after I yelled at them asking them wtf they were doing. Thing like this is a prime op for looters. I had my gigantic pines cut down a few years ago. Have 1, at edge of prop. Any trees close are maples, x2, and a cherr and apple tree, those dont fire up as well in wind fire like this. This house is right behind me. If you zoom this pic good and see that pink, that is where the 2 planes started there red FR chem drops. An interesting side note, I was on the phone with my buddy in post falls idaho. I described the planes and the black tails, he said he just saw those 2 planes take off from post falls headed west a few minutes before. pf is 30 miles from me

Well, just got my internet back. I watched the 2 airdrops of red fire retardant from planes Sat afternoon, about 7-800 yards from my back deck. Was very impressive, stopped the fire in it's tracks in my area. got told to evacuate, unfortunately some real tools on city planning allowed developers to put a bunch of houses on a hill above me, they had to come down my road. I watched a truck take an hour to go from 1 side of my house to the next. They arrested the degenerate fuck that started the fire, yup, arson guys not global warming like all the idiots are claiming. Still in an evacuation zone, but I never left after I saw the drop stop the fire. If I drive out, they wont let you drive back in.

Joy to Key is the program. I Open it prior to game. Fire up Track IR, then click on the open JTK so it selects it when I want to cal my Track IR. I pause Track IR then start IL2 I set up a profile, assign various keystrokes to various in game functions. Then I assign that key to a different joystik, throttle, rudder etc. I rally like it for tanks to aim the gun for long range. I have 2 hats on a throttle that do mouse movement. The first does 40 % of my mouse speed, the second does 10% of speed, making very fine tune possible. Now I have a new WW orion 2 throttle to set up for tanks but will do the same type of emulation

I have the Orion 2, F15 EX also. I'm not sure on DCS, but I know that recently my throttle, which was all set up and working fine stopped working correctly in IL2. I read some IL2 forum posts talking about 32 button X4 mode, calibrating the throttle etc. THe issue was resolved by calibrating the throttle in such a way that I did not activate any of the buttons at the beginning, or end of the AXIS. The sim app GUI sux for this, as it does not show you. I used a straight edge placed in a certain low spot on my finger lift kit ( that's another matter, I want more variable detents but cant find them ! ) Once I eliminated the part of the throttle in calibration that activated buttons on zero or 100 % end, it all worked again.

Stick to IL2 ?

I'm very skeptical, and said so on the forum . The reason why there have not been a bunch, with the exception of Mig Alley sims, I think is because the interest for that is not high. WW2 or WW1 has always been the draw and ww2 just draws more. They had a ton of areas that could have still been done, Italian Series 5 fighters were always a wanted addition. More armor for TC, More later war eastern front planes. I think others have talked about the pacific, and while that may draw well with americans, I don't think it is that great for europe or alot of the rest of the world. Maybe they will continue to model AC and armor for WW2, I think new planes and armor may actually outsell a korea model.

I see that Win Wing is making a set of Rudders now. I do not see them stocked yet. They look like a virtual copy of the Virpil pedals, slight cosmetic differences. I think these Turtle Beach Velocity 1 pedals are a hidden gem and I'm glad I came across them.

Good Question. I have them set at the narrowest setting. They say that = 13.77" 350 mm Outside to outside of footbed widest point is 15", they adjust out a further 100mm or 4" 19 total. Stock on the CH, I have 12 1/4 outside to outside on foot beds. So the TB narrowest is about 3 " wider and goes 4 more. Adjustment is 6 different places. There are 2 spring loaded plates on the bottom. Press and move out or in The last pic the left footbeds on both, the center of them are lined up on the left. As you can see, much wider, that is the widest they go. At the narrowest setting they are @ 3" wider

I was surprised at the build actually. They used some plastic as cosmetic covers. The main frame is aluminum and steel. Each pedal is supported by 2 tubular rails and what look like linear bearings. The spring for me is right from factory but they come with different springs and like everything else if that wasn't right you could always get something different online tension wise. The sensors are hall effect, and there is no center detent which I like. They return to center just fine with the springs. After not being able to get Virpil pedals, then looking at these they may actually be a better constructed style, imo, they don't rotate around a center/spring but each foot slides up 2 rails and spins the sensor in the center. Both feet have an individual spring so you could actually adjust these in some offset/tension manner if you wanted Pic is right foot

Well, I wanted to get some Virpil pedals but they always seem to be out of stock. Seems to have gotten worse over the last couple of years. Anyways, I got a set Turtle Beach Velocity 1 Rudder Pedals. I had only recently heard of Turtle Beach because a coworker bought a Jstik from them. It seems they kind of occupy the Xbox system, or did. These rudder pedals are very nice. Well built and heavy. I was using CH pedals. They came with smaller type footbeds, and some different springs. I like the stock large beds. They are adjustable for width, I like the factory set width but that is an option for those wanting a change. I am very happy with these and was actually expecting something more like CH flimsy etc, I was pleasantly surprised.

I got 1 305 mm length will cut 50 off. 250 for vert. 5mm curf. Prob or less. So this. 4080 is wider 3,15. X 1.5. " i just need to make. 2 plates.

Benn awhile since I remembered this post. Lip, I"m using a cap start for the compressor. And outdoor fan. The blower fan, no cap. No sense in it as I run the blower 24/7. For air filtration purposes. And just speed up if cooling or heating is called for. On the filtration front. I run a 3" merv 13. With a carbon coating. If your unit can use a thicker. Filter than the standard 1" thick, do so. It has much more surface area 2" up to 5, you have less drag on your fan, it will flow better, performance will increase. The thicker filters cozt more. But last much longer. If you use 1 inch. And you go thicker. You can increase the merv rating and not see any performance loss.
