Discord name change

Discord has started prompting me to change my name. I've been avoiding it in case something goes sideways... (how could that possibly happen? ). Has anyone done it yet?

Currently I'm JG1_Vonrd#9623. When I start the process, it doesn't allow me to use uppercase, e.g. jg1_vonrd. I guess it's not a big deal but I'd prefer to keep the uppercase as it is. Holding off for now.

I have.  I changed from JG1_Klaiber### to just klaiber.

It doesn't change your display name (as that's something different), just your username attached to your account.

Honestly, going with vonrd should be fine.  I don't think there are a lot of them.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with your display name, just what name others can search and find you. You can set your display name to be different on separate servers.

Cool, Good to know what is going on with the change. I have been avoiding making this change too.
