Labroisse got a reaction from Britchot in Pimax Foveated Rendering Settings for DCSNope definitely is supported. Eye tracking is not.
The Pimax version caused major stutter but the mbucchia version works very well for me. Increased frame rates a bit and most importantly just eliminated stutters at higher resolutions noted above. Give it a try, it's easy to uninstall if you don't like it.

Download and install Mbucchia Quadviews: https://github.com/mbucchia/Quad-Views-Foveated/wiki/#download--installation
Download and install Quadviews Companion: https://github.com/TallyMouse/QuadViewsCompanion/releases
Set Quadviews Companion:
Pimax settings for DCS: (this is for the Crystal Light, not sure how this would work with Crystal with eye tracking)
Be sure to turn Quadviews on in VR tab of DCS. I also run Pimax at 120hz and set DCS frame rate limit at 120hz.
I was using Pimax's quadviews but got terrible stuttering. MBucchia's seems to work very well and almost completely eliminated stuttering even when the frames drop into the 50s and 60s downs low over big cities. You can always lower the Pimax resolution down from 1.03 and lower the foveated resolution down in Quadviews Companion from +225% to get better framerates.

Labroisse reacted to Flyboy in VR NeckSafer problems in DCSI was having terrible problems with my NeckSafer in DCS. I use smooth motion but lately what it does is throw me completely outside the cockpit when I turn my head (often putting me out beyond the wingtips). I finally asked Grok and used the following steps which has helped a lot so far.
### Summary of Steps to Fix DCS VR Cockpit Clipping for VR NeckSafer
1. **Enable Saving**: In Options > Misc, ensure "User Snap-View Saving" is checked (it was already for you).
2. **Enter 2D Mode**: Disable VR in launcher; launch DCS in 2D.
3. **Setup Cockpit**: Select aircraft, start mission, spawn on ground, enter cockpit (RCtrl + C).
4. **Adjust Head Forward**: Hold RCtrl + RShift + Num * (your binding for forward); press 3–5 times (or more) to shift head forward for VR buffer.
5. **Save Default**: Press RAlt + Num 0 to save as default view (creates/updates snapviews.lua).
6. **Test in VR**: Relaunch in VR, enter mission, look behind. Recenter if needed (RCtrl + Num 0 in-flight).
7. **Per Aircraft**: Repeat steps 2–6 for each plane; all save to the same snapviews.lua file (separate sections).
I only did it for the Mig-21 but went to diff airplanes and so far it is holding for each and I haven't needed to do it separately for each aircraft.

Labroisse reacted to Flyboy in VR NeckSafer problems in DCSYeah I do that to but it was still causing problems until I did the above.

Labroisse got a reaction from Flyboy in VR NeckSafer problems in DCSI center in the Pimax software before every DCS session after starting Necksafer and that usually fixes this problem for me. You can do that either with a controller or if you have controllerless mode enabled in Pimax Play, by holding down the up volume button on the headset and then centering when the menu comes up.

Labroisse reacted to Flyboy in Dayton Air Show Jun 21, 2025Lee got into town Tue night so came over to have grilled chicken wings at my house with Patriot, myself and my wife.
Today we went to the Wright Bicycle shop (shop number 4) and museum and then over to Carillon Park which also houses the original 1905 Wright Flyer along with a replica of their final bicycle shop (number 5) and place where they did a lot of their airplane experiments.
Tomorrow we go with Wilmington Airpark for a control tower, hangar/aircraft and full motion simulator (B-767) tour.

Labroisse reacted to wheelsup_cavu in WWII SoundsI was surprised to hear them start the engines in the 1,2,3,4 order. I have read multiple times that they typically started the engines in the 3,4,2,1 sequence. Starting engine 3 first had something to do with the generator on the B-17. When you think about it when it comes to propeller aircraft the 3,4,2,1 start sequence also makes sense from a safety stand point for the plane captain.
