Most drivers hate the Halo, and even hate the thought of a canopy even more. I think it was more lock than other thing. Any small contact in the Alonso's head at that speed, and he was gone! Either way though, it's a dangerous business, and sometimes, for jet-jocks and F1 drivers alike it's just "Kobayashi Maru"...
