Stats get reseted when you die, if you have set the "Reset stats on death" or something in DCG How about you start a new campaign and show us the log file?
-
Death is a relative thing. How about you post your after mission error.dcg? Before pressing apply, just alt-tab the game.

Could you still take the time to post the error.dcg when you create a GAttack mission with air start? It would be really interesting to see what actually happened. Glad you could fix that occurrence.
-
What plane are you using? In DCG, not every landing site suports every plane. This is easily changed, BTW, so no worries. You need to tell us what campaign are you flying and what plane. Did you check difficulty settings when you started the campaign? Could it be you accidentally set for only airstarts? How many squadrons are there in the campaign? Too many active squadrons in a .mis file may prevent your flight for starting in an airfield. Could you post the dcgerror.txt file here, please?
-
Ok, so I saved as UTF-8. This is what happened Edit: saved both, .rds and allcampaigns.dcg as ANSI and the issue was gone.
-
Yes. However, I've been thinking about it and something similar happens with my Age of Empires. Say, the stock description of a unit or civilization has a description with áéíóúñ. If I mod it and I preserve the áéíóúñ the game either crashes or doesn't show the text. So maybe the issue is with Windows codification. I remember we discussed something similar with a Zielona Góra Airfield. When you write the .rds files, do you use notepad? vi? vim? other? Edit: new development in Age of Empires. If I save a txt (or .per file, which are the AI files) in ANSI, the game gives me troubles, BUT if I save it as UTF-8, the game runs fine. I'll guess I'll try it in DCG some of these days and I'll update.
-
So, I created a campaign in Northwest Europe. Allied supply zone is Büderiech, according to DCG, but as there is no Büderiech in the .rds file, only Büderiech, when a column gets destroyed, it doesn't come back. In fact, Büderich is Axis. Edit: now you all know I like Digimon

Neither 19420101 SetEscort RAF_No616SQN0 = none nor 19420101 SetEscort RAF_No616SQN0 = RAF_No616SQN0 work That's too bad. Edit: If I try 19420101 SetEscort RAF_No616SQN0 = RAF_No616SQN1 It may work, but Meteors are as good as fighters as Stukas or Il-10's

Added plane to class, payloads. Always gets replaced
Fhechene replied to Fhechene's topic in DCG Public Discussion
When you create a custom campaign, you have to select a nationality and if there aren't planes associated with that nationality, DCG says "nope, no planes for that nationality", like, if I delete all jp planes for a Western Europe campaign and choose Japan. My guess is that you added some code to check for that, but didn't specify that you can't add the same plane for different nationalities, which is good, because if I want to fly for France or the Netherlands in Western Europe, if it can't find planes for those, it won't let you create a campaign, so I can have Spitfires for the Dutch and for the French -
So, I also added the Gloster Meteor to class and payloads. Of course, all planes, but other Meteors, are unable to catch up with it. How do I make so it nevers gets assigned any escort? Timetable and set escort null or something?

That was exactly it. I misswrote the skin folders. So, that is fixed. Now, another issue arose. I'm flying the spitfire XVI, but DCG mission tetx says Aircraft: Spitfire Mk.XIV These are the related class.dcg lines SPITFIRELF14E Spitfire Mk.XIV gb 1 1 1 194401 194612 none SpitfireMkLFXIVE none 5000 Meters 720.00 kph Default 720.00 kph SPITFIRE16E25 Spitfire Mk.XVI 25lbs gb 1 1 1 194401 194612 none SpitfireMkXVIe25 none 5000 Meters 720.00 kph Default 720.00 kph SPITFIRELF14E Spitfire Mk.XIV pl 1 1 1 194401 194612 none SpitfireMkLFXIVE none 5000 Meters 720.00 kph Default 720.00 kph SPITFIRE16E25 Spitfire Mk.XVI 25lbs pl 1 1 1 193601 194612 none SpitfireMkXVIe25 none 5000 Meters 720.00 kph Default 720.00 kph Edit: so, it magically got fixed deleting the campaign and starting again. -
Open DCG and there, open your campaign. Then, in the Squadron section, change the plane and or the squad. If you want this to be automatic, you can use timetable.
-
So, I added the Spitfire XVI (and others) to the class and payloads file. DCG recognizes it as valid planes, as I can modify them in the Aircraft Class Settings. It is flyable by the player and it is usable in the time the campaign is set, the campaign is se in Feb/1945 and the plane is available since 1944 to 1946. Now, the plane doesn't appear as selectable by any squadron, even though I placed it with the other Spitfires. Edit: and when I choose said plane when I start a campaign, it gets replaced. If I change it using DCG, it still gets replaced.

Yes, I know that, too What I meant, and I'm sorry if that wasn't clear, is change the corresponding name string of, say 111Eskadra (the code) from '111 Eskadra Myśliwska' to '303 squadron'
-
Yes, I know that, but I mean, changing the name through the campaign 111 Eskadra Myśliwska->303 squadron
-
This may be useful I had something similar happen, but in single player. What happened is that I had opened DCG while playing and it synced with the log file prematurely.
-
Is there a list of the files that are absolutely compulsory for creating a third-party campaign somewhere? Yes. Lonestar's guide says Just copy and paste the stock DCG files.
-
Say I want to make a Polish career campaign, from 1939 to 1945. I start with PLZ 111. France and RAF have their own Polish Air Force Squadrons, like SQN 303, but they don't speak Polish, so my idea is to change the name of the PLZ 111 squadron across campaigns. Is there a way to do this? In timetable, NameSquad changes the code of the Squadron, not the name.
-
Are those all the files you have in the third party folder? Shouldn't you also have a class.dcg and a squadids.dcg files?
-
Have you tried with other squads? Is there any airfield for which the player can take-off?
-
not working properly, no new mission generated
Fhechene replied to slippery_jim's topic in DCG Public Discussion
But why is it in its own folder, outside data and masters? -

Well, I edited my reply just a few seconds before you posted this Have you tried placing your custom campaign folder in the DCG folder? -

What does your error file says after ending a mission? How about after creating a new mission? Furthermore, why do you have your campaign created in your main Il-2 folder? Experience tells me that your custom campaigns must be in the DCG folder.
