  1. That's really nice of him.
  2. Congratulations to the Blue Team! With an exact total of 64 points, and some very intense mission nights, the Blue Team has emerged victorious within the Second Phase of FIF XXII! To celebrate the Blue Team's achievement, the FIFXXIIb campaign ribbon shows the German Cross pattée on a blue background. With a Blue victory, this brings the current campaign to a dramatic close! And since both the Red Team and the Blue Team have each won at least one Phase of play, Flanders In Flames XXII has ended in a tie! Congratulations to both teams! Your efforts have really paid off. This was easily one of the best campaigns we've had. Flanders In Flames will be back with FIF XXIII (23)! Expect to hear more soon! In the meantime, thank you all for making this tournament so successful! We're hoping to keep the momentum going by conducting tournament-like dogfight nights on both the JG1 and J99 servers in the coming weeks. These will be held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at our normal FIF flight times! The scores for Mission 4A are shown below. . . . 3. Kempf is in South Korea, so his flying time is dependent upon his work schedule. Since his mornings are our evenings, he has to have the day off in order to fly. He should be around in a few days.
  4. Unfortunately, I've never heard of it.
  5. Definitely! But, what you have above is really quite good.
  6. Glacier Girl is definitely an amazing recovery. Still can't believe they were able to extract it.
  7. Good luck!
  8. For that, you'd need to buy specialty pedals, meant for a driving sim. Something like the Logitech G27: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-941-000045-G27-Racing-Wheel/dp/B001NT9TK4
  9. I loved the defensive situation, escape, and dead stick at the end. I know it's not how you wanted to come down, but you handled the situation really well.
  10. You can use rudder pedals for driving games too. The CH pro pedals for example (which is what I have): https://youtu.be/_KXPVMGW31U?t=8m15s
  11. That's so cool. Would love to see another P-38 fly again.
  12. Always loved the lines of the MiG-17.
  13. Great video, Barton!
  14. But the cool factor... worth every penny.
  15. http://flightclub.jalopnik.com/heres-the-best-speed-for-dollar-deal-on-the-internet-ri-1738307235 Okay, how much money can we pool together?
  16. TS3 is about $5 through iTunes. So, about as expensive as an ROF aircraft
  17. I have TS3 on my phone, and it works well. The only problem is that you can't see who is on a channel unless you're in it. Additionally, push to talk is a PITA. So you'll probably have to leave the channel open. However, if you are using headphones with a built in mic (that you'd use on a phone call), it shouldn't be a problem. Let me know when you get it all set up, and we'll give it a shot in either ROF or CLOD.
  18. That's definitely a good start. Make sure you have all of the Albs, and the Pfalz D.III too. While they may not be used in the next FIF, we do fly them a lot.
  19. There is absolutely no reason people can't discuss the plane-set, and give their own wish list. As long as the feedback is constructive, it's good information that can be used to create better scenarios. Regardless, Butzzell can speak for himself. And I don't like the tone of this thread. This thread is locked.
  20. 21. That's great! I saw a Fokker D.VIII replica at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome this year. Beautiful aircraft.
  22. They've fixed the visual range problem with the 1.5 Open Beta. There is now a toggle in the options area, between Original, Standard and Enhanced. It's really awesome.
  23. Hi Istvan, you're all set for the Blue Team, with J99. Welcome!
  24. Great video Barton! Makes me want to crank up Cliffs of Dover. Unfortunately, I'm still at work.
