Congratulations to the Entente Team! With a total of 37 points, the Entente team has emerged victorious in FIFXIX. You guys fought exceptionally well. And I think I speak for the entire Central team when I say that it was a tremendous amount of fun. To celebrate the Entente team's achievement, the FIFXIX campaign ribbon shows the RAF roundel on a red background. As always, a big "Salute!" to everyone who participated in this event. Since has become a repository of Bf 109E markings, I wanted to copy over part of a discussion that happened on a private thread. Paraphrasing the question, it was: "When does the yellow undercowling start to appear on Bf 109s?" Here was my answer.

That would make an awesome diorama! If you have time, you should give it a shot. Practice makes perfect. Regarding RLM 65, yeah. They definitely stretched it up the sides to create the "lower visibility profile" I mentioned in my earlier post. The first two profiles in my earlier thread show a really good example of that transition. http://forum.jg1.org/index.php?showtopic=1447&p=6569 Regarding the "darkened tip" tail plane you mention, that's one of those cool JG3isms that sometimes slip into their frontline aircraft markings. Other units had other variations, which you can pick out from time to time. I guess it all depended on the ground crew and how creative / lazy / rushed they were. I just updated too, and everything seems okay.

Apparently 1.033c has been released. No word on the pre-cocked guns (which means they probably didn't change it back).

That's very good news! I greatly appreciate them fixing this so fast. Though, I do hope that they make pre-cocked guns a check box, and not default.

To follow up on Vonrd's post - while we wait for ROF, a bunch of us in JG1 are going to test out Cliffs of Dover with Team Fusion mods tonight. Everyone is more than welcome to join us. If you need our TS info, just let me know.

S! All, Due to the current hotfix issues with ROF Version 1.033b, the FIF Admins have decided to postpone FIF XIX Mission #3, which was scheduled to be run on Wednesday, August 27th. We're hoping to restart the tournament after a week. But this is dependent upon 777, and their ability to patch the game. To my knowledge, there are currently two major problems which are necessitating this temporary cease fire: The first is the Spin bug, which makes spin recovery impossible : http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=353&t=43880 The second is the Head Position / Snap View bug, which for people without TrackIR or Free-Track is extremely debilitating: http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=43865 Should anyone have more information on the game issues, or a specific questions regarding FIF, please post below. Yeah, I haven't updated either. And probably won't until they've fixed the hotfix. It looks like there are a lot of bugs. We'll have to talk about how this will impact FIF,
