I look forward to hearing reports!
-
Early Access, but I've still already got mine ordered! Of course who knows when I'll have access to my fight stick again
-
Nah, I just set it up real quick in the ME
-
Click the link to see my adventure. Spent about an hour trying.... http://imgur.com/gallery/7bmzh

I definitely read that as "nub" and not "noob"

You can even rename the speech folders in DCS (or there's a JGSME-whatever mod to replace all the sound with short empty files) so that you don't have the virtual pilot repeating what you said!
-
Vonrd, VAICOM is set up so it uses NUM0-NUM3 as the VHF1/VHF2/UHF/AUTO mic keys (depending on the plane's need) and is set so the VA is only listening when the key is pressed, so I'm sure there's a way you could do the same for CloD!
-
How are you using it, out of curiosity?
-
That's the plan! And yes, I've been on a bit of mapping spree lately, finally getting around to the aircraft I haven't set up yet. I don't remember what you use, but if it's CH Products, I can share my maps!
-
So I just got VoiceAttack and am pairing it with VAICOM for DCS. I'm just curious if anyone has experience with them? It seems like it will be good for immersion. I'm also going to be using it with ARMA. I watched. I've watched a few videos of people using voice commands in it and it seems like it'll make things a lot easier!
-
Well curse 777, their sale, and my OCD urges to complete sets! I ended up getting 17 planes! Filled out the roster though
-
Thanks! That MiG-21 looks weird with the nosecone fully extended while it's on the ground. And man, that GAU-8 is so recognizable!
-
I definitely want to visit! Will you be posting the more modern aircraft as well?
-
I picked the Ilya up. Figured one day I might play the campaign. One day...
-
Yeah, I picked up 4 or 5 planes
-
There's this: http://www.ariescon.com/index4.html Edit: Oh, I don't see a download link for it....
-
Yeah, I've noticed the Mirage being a little squirrelly on take off too. Even with nose wheel steering off, it wants to veer and the slightest rudder has a big effect. And yeah, he might not have been the best pilot, but I think having a human GCI like that would be a lot of fun, especially in an aircraft with limited radar like the MiG!
-
There we go, GCI. I knew it wasn't coordinated radar, but I couldn't think of it. I'll have to download the map soon! I ended up getting the Mirage... that thing flies so nice. I haven't had a chance to learn the weapon systems and all yet, but I've had fun just flying it around.
-
What do you call this? Ground coordinated radar? I'd love to fly the Mig with one!
-
Omg I want the F-5 so bad. I'm having to decide between it and the Mirage. Mirage is out, so it might win out.
-
Yeah, I've got everything except the C-101 and the Gazelle. And the Mirage.. but two more days until pay day for that! Trev, have you guys been flying regularly at all? If so, when?
-
As the title says, there's currently a sale going on at the DCS website site. On a related note, the 40% off for the Mirage as finally convinced me to switch from the Steam version to the standalone!
-
Thanks guys! It's a Master of Divinity degree. Hopefully in the next month or two I'll find out if the Greek Orthodox Church is going to ordain me.
-
Is it a talent, or just kinda sad.... On another note, I graduated last weekend, so currently I have a Masters Degree and no idea what comes next!

This time I found it in a video on YouTube explaining relativity (of all things). One of the characters is in a spaceship and this is what they used for the cockpit: And then he moved out of the way for a few seconds: It's the Su-25! The older version without the heads-down-display: Here's a link to the video if you're curious. It's actually a pretty good video, even if the narration and music want to put you to sleep: And that has been today's episode of "DCS in the Wild." Stay tuned for the next one, you never know where we might find the beast!
