A little online formation flying shenanigans. Wheels

Thankfully it is only $5.99 for all three Great Battles Titles at GoG at the moment so it would not be a huge cash outlay to find out. From the video you posted it reminded me quite a bit of the Panzer General series of games. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panzer_General#Legacy A couple of those Panzer General Titles are available on GoG too. Taping of Kirsten Dunst (Turning Japanese) - Akihabara When you compare the "making of" video to the video that was released you can really get an idea of how important the editing process is to making the release video look good. Wheels

Crater's Demise... I was at 1500 feet and I pickled my bombs and Crater had a momentary BLAST!!! Whenever I take careful aim at something when I am bombing I almost always miss but when I just drop the bombs with no intentional target something like this happens all too often. Wheels

Well done April Fools prank by The Operations Room using the premise from an extremely popular movie. Soviet Nuclear Submarine Defects to the United States, 1984 - Animated Wheels

Another book on Yamamoto and the mission to Intercept him. This one was written in 1993. Not as out there as my prior post but it is definitely not something I would have expected Kirsten Dunst to have done. Kirsten Dunst - Turning Japanese Wheels

And now for something just a little bit different... Wheels

Prisoners of the Castle Consider it a solid read. I liked how the author summarized each of the major individuals lives after the war up to and including their passing in the last chapter. Wheels

Just a little bit later I suspect than just about everyone else I started binge watching The Ranch on Netflix. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4998212/ I like Sam Elliot as an actor quite a bit and seeing Debra Winger again after all these years is a nice bonus. Wheels

Always glad to hear of another fan. I was introduced to it just a few years before then. However that skit did bring it back in a big way. Similar to Run DMC making Aerosmith relevant again with their rendition of Walk this Way. Wheels

Is there a planned starting date for this campaign? Wheels

Lately, My own YouTube channel. Seems I finally decided I had some things to post on it again. After all these years I even figured out how to use the Playlist feature... https://www.youtube.com/@wheelsupcavu/playlists Wheels

That is definitely a unique perspective. I never even thought to look in the mirror. Even when watching the video I was looking straight ahead and judging my altitude. I am not sure why Oscar popped in and out so quickly unless he left to join our normal group Session? I am still not certain how the discussions are going to be conducted although I am fairly certain it will be discussed via TeamSpeak or Discord. Wheels

Saw the movie Devotion shortly after it came out last year. Outside of Top Gun Maverick it was the only movie that I really enjoyed recently. Planes of Fame pilots were involved in the flying sequences of both films and their aircraft were definitely used in the movie Devotion. Devotion used their Bearcat, Mig 15, Corsair, & possibly their Skyraider too. Wheels

Forgot to run a track so I will not be able to watch from different perspectives at a later date. Oops. Had a pretty successful quick mission with this one. Didn't figure that I would have time to get to the main target area before we quit the warmup session and start the regular session so I decided to mess around a bit. Can't complain, I flew through a hangar at around 300 mph and a couple of JU-88's decided to come to the airfield to give me a target to shoot at too !! Unfortunately several old domains were taken over by such unsavory sites when the original owners quit paying for the domain. Over time when the domain quits registering enough hits to justify continuing to pay for it you just end up getting a 404 site not found error code... Wheels

Downloaded the rule book and passed it along with the rest of the information to the group earlier tonight. I am interested but I will have to wait for the rest of their thoughts on the idea of joining. Wheels

I felt the same way when they shut down the Ubisoft forums. Not just because of the 1C/Maddox forums but other old games forums like Silent Hunter and the Customer support area that still had useful information regarding the Panzer General series of games. All those years of content gone into nothingness. Plus all those useless links on the other sites pointing to those articles are going to nowhere now too. Even more disturbing is that for the most part the Internet Archive did not preserve most of the content so it is not a useful resource for that information either. Wheels

Thanks for the heads up on the campaign. I will pass it along to the rest of the group. Wheels

Looks like they decided to combine Flying Circus and RoF into a single section instead of giving RoF its own area. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/117-il-2-sturmovik-flying-circus-and-rise-of-flight/ Wheels

Did something a little different with my most recent video. I did not live stream it, not quite that handy yet, but I did record one of our 352nd VFG group sessions and I uploaded that recording later that night. Took just shy of 1 hour and 49 minutes to record the flight and then just a paltry 10 hours to upload it to YouTube... The video includes our TeamSpeak chatter.
