Hi Pilots, 

1st: There is an IL2 sale running, much of the content (even the latest collector planes) are on discount => good chance for some new pilots to grab some items

2nd: Seems IL2 Development is really not dead, there are some very interesting plan(e)s, take a look on the current development blog:

They plan to add towable gliders!!!! Specifically the American Waco CG-4A..... => that adds the possibility of some very interesting missions...

The novelty of a flyable Glider definitely peaks my interest.

The WACO CG-4A has a glide ratio of 12:1 and sink rate of 400 ft/min at 60 mph.  You initiate landing by releaseing the tow line.  Upon landing you become a rifleman.

I prefer sailplanes myself.

Probably depends on the success of the 1st one.... Like it was with the Ju52, where with quite some delay the C-47 followed

Lol, I had completely forgotten that I bought the Waco glider. I think I flew it two or three times and literally just forgot I had it. I am not the least bit upset about buying the aircraft since it was a fun aircraft to fly I just got busy with other aircraft. The first thing I tried and succeeded in doing with the Waco was to loop it.
