Here are a few shots from the Military Aviation Museum’s 2016 “Flying Prom.†Music provided by Virginia Beach’s symphony orchestra, Symphonicity. Aircraft are from the museum’s collection. I only took still photos, so no music. You really had to be there. Program includes music with appropriate aircraft flying. For example, the de Havilland Mosquito flew to the “633 Squadron†theme. The Fokker Dr.1s, D.VII and Albatros D.Va flew to the suite from “The Red Baron.†The Wildcat and Aichi “Val†flew to the “War & Tennessee†Suite from “Pearl Harbor.†And of course the Hurricane, Spitfire and Bf 109 flew to the suit from “Battle of Britain.†The flying program ended at intermission, but then much more music was played. “Stars & Stripes Forever†was the last piece kicking off the fireworks display. S!

Count me in. It was a lot of fun last year. S!

I use the mini stick in RoF for rotating the external views. Yes, it doesn't always center on release. I set an "s" shape response curve in the Ch Manager software with a wide dead zone which works well to resolve the problem.

Figured this is all you guys would be interested in from the Museum’s Valentine’s Day Dance last night. S!

I have the full CH kit. Very reliable. Only had to replace the pedals that I originally purchased new when they were first released. I use the CH Control Manager to program and download the game profiles. Set it up once, then it's all automatic.

Watched that Naval engagement while CAPing their arty target. I recall you mentioning if the ships met, they would fight. Looks like the invasion fleet needs another cruiser.

Thought I'd snap a picture of the Military Aviation Museum's Christmas Tree before we take it down this week. Doesn't everyone have a Pup on the top of their tree? S!

Just installed the latest windows 10 update. Seems to have resolved the problem. Three sucessful restarts with all controllers working properly in RoF. S!

RoF doesn't always pick up all my CH controllers. I use the full CH kit; Fighter Stick, Pro Throttle, Pro Pedals, Throttle Quadrant, and Multi-Function panel. The controllers are programed using the CH Control Manager. I've had to stop using a script file to launch CH Control Manager, downloaded the CH RoF profile, then launched the RoF game. Not all the controllers were being seen in RoF. I have found manually launching Control Manager then downloading the CH RoF profile seems to work. Jury still out.

That one's pretty nice with a rotary engine. Usually, modern replicas us a radial engine. The one we have at the Military Aviation Museum uses a radial.

Well no wonder everyone was upset, with you running around with that soldering iron! Just let the electrical tech make the wire connections on your radio gear. Probably why you could receive the enemy commander, messing with and cross wiring everything. Darn lucky you didn't set fire to your airplane! S!

As promised. Although a World War II trainer, the Stearman performs like a World War I aircraft. Cruise is 85 mph. Sticking you arms fully out into the slipstream makes you wonder how the gunners back in the day ever hit anything.
