Are you using the Windows sound devices or the Oculus sound devices? I launch in 2D sometimes and VR other times so have to make sure the correct sound devices are selected by voice attack, both recorder and speaker. I use the default Realtek devices with my normal headphones and mic in 2D. I use the Oculus sound devices with the rift headset and mic.

You'll need to pony up $400 a year if you want to post your images stored on photobucket to this or any other forum. "Third Party Hosting" has been blocked on all but their 500 Plus accounts. That's the $400 a year plan. My images on this forum are no longer accessible. If I find another hosting service, I may update the image links on my posts here. But for now, consider them gone forever.

Maybe RAM? 6.114 GB is an unusual amount. I'd go to at least 16 GB. Or just save the money for your next machine.

We have a resident maintenance facility, the Fighter Factory. They have a staff of full time mechanics and do our maintenance and restoration work.

We keep it in the 'Cottbus' hangar with the German aircraft collection. The German re-enactors shoot it five or six times during the airshow. We call it the Cottbus hangar because we got the hangar from the Cottbus airfield located near Berlin. Though not a mobile hangar, it was designed to be able to move in time of war, which was a big help when bringing it to Virginia Beach. BTW, the green building is another building we brought over from Europe. It's an English watch tower (control tower) that used to be at the Goxhill airfield. Goxhill was the first airfield handed over by England for use by the Eight Air Force.

I worked the Airshow Saturday. Morning was beautiful. Blue sky, gentile breeze and the day was shaping up to be perfect for an airshow. A few planes made test flights. At 12:15 we started to move the guests back to the spectator line in preparation for flight operations. Then a sea fog blew in from the north, the wind picked up and the ceiling dropped. No flying. In order to provide some entertainment for our guest, many of the aircraft were started up and taxied along the spectator line so everyone could get a good look at each airplane and at least hear the engines running. Not the same as flying, but the best we could do in the circumstances. I didn’t work Sunday, but it was overcast with a 1500 ft ceiling, and I understand they did fly. Yes, this is what sim pilots forget. G forces, freezing temperatures and oxygen deprivation are not part of the sitting in a comfy chair pushing a joystick while looking at a screen flight sim experience. It's good to get up in an open cockpit airplane occasionally to bring it all back in focus. S!

I think we can trace the Military Aviation Museum's Po-2 back to the 588th.

I'm on my third set of pro-pedals. Everything else (Fighter Stick, Pro Throttle, Throttle Quadrant and Multi Function Panel) have been bullet proof. The control manager software does everything I need it to do. My PC is dedicated strictly to RoF. I do have a TM T.16000M for use with my laptop when I'm on the road. The laptop isn't getting much use aside from crashing RC helicopters with Phoenix RC. I'm considering getting a space flight sim, but nothing's struck my fancy. I'm interested in the mechanics of flying space ships and exploration. The current space sim crop seems focused mainly on combat and piracy. Anyone have a suggestion?

I thought dual ThrustMaster T.16000M joysticks were considered the hot setup for Star Citizen. Two twisty sticks for full six axis control.

Strutter trim very useful for recon missions to set hands free climb rates.

Soaring is great fun. I have Silver Badge #3658. Managed to place 11th out of 31 in the 1982 1-26 Championships. Good times. (Wow, that was a long while ago. I must be an old guy. )

The D.Va is full scale, so are the "flappers."

The CL.IV is 7/8 scale. All the rest are full scale. S! Lee
