  1. It's been so long that I forgot that some formats use a comma rather than a period for decimal point. I'll fix it as soon as I'm able.
  2. I gave the DCG stock campaign a try this evening and I didn't have this issue. But then I was USN and the US carriers were the prime target of the Japanese planes.
  3. With the Mosquitos, try changing their payloads to smaller bombs (with less of an explosion radius).
  4. And another build. This one adds a friction setting for dogfight mode. It also tweaks the reconnaissance values a bit for naval campaigns (making a bit harder to maintain contact).
  5. Yeah, the trick is to swing the roads near the airfields and then name the locations "xxx_Airfield" or "xxx_Airstrip".
  6. Challenge accepted! (See latest beta.)
  7. Attached is the latest beta. This one should improve the chances of player squadrons staying on carriers both between missions and when their carrier is lost. In both cases, they should transfer to another available carrier. At least in theory that's how it should work.
  8. Funny you should mention that. I've been playing some Pacific War DCG myself and discovered the same thing happened to me at Midway. I've been working on a fix (not yet ready to release), but maybe soon.
  9. Downgrade the Tigers to Panzer IVs?
  10. So something got corrupt in the campaign, but what...?
  11. Generally when all the planes first spawn and they catapult, it means that their takeoff coordinates are corrupt. I suspect one or more of your campaign data files got messed up. Under the Edit menu, you can try the "Restore From Last Mission" option and see if that repairs it.
  12. Really, none. The Fi-156 was not flyable while I was developing missions. It will do basic reconnaissance and that's about it. That said, you could fly it pretty much however you'd like. For example, the Crimea campaign, with the Russians having a number of ships, you could go looking for them. And you could just sit on the runway and wait for the first German pilots to get shot down and then go rescue them. The other missions will play out so it's pretty much a sandbox for you to play in.
  13. I can't edit the title, but it's okay. I know what we're talking about.
  14. It's weird that the missions are generated correctly but there's an error when you try to access the squadron editor. I'd say it's a bug in the squadron editor code except that I can't replicate the error on my side.
  15. Yes, I initially suspected it was the class file. A glance at the pilot and squadron files shows me that they are fine. If you haven't tried already, I recommend taking the class.dcg file from a fresh download and copying it over the one you have. A single extra space (or tabs instead of spaces) in that file will mess up the data.
  16. Thanks for posting them both. Unfortunately, I can find nothing wrong with them. It's very strange that you get that error when you try to view the squadron editor, but otherwise things work fine. Maybe you could post the contents of one of these campaign's squadrons.dcg and pilot.dcg files. I wonder if they are somehow corrupt. This one is a mystery.
  17. I don't see anything peculiar about the process. It may be that your edits to a .mis file had some impact. Can you post the edits? Thanks!
  18. Another question. Are you using any mods? Either to the game or to DCG or both? A screenshot isn't so useful. A copy of the dcgerror.txt file at the time of the crash would be more helpful.
  19. It looks like something in one of the data files (probably the class.dcg file) is off. At what point does the error occur? When you open the squadron editor? Or when you try to do something specific in it? If so, what are you selecting at the time? If it's when you open the editor, what squadron is the player's and what plane is assigned to it?
  20. I'm just amazed people are still using it after all these years.
  21. Latest beta should prevent Western Allied units from transferring to Soviet bases on the Berlin and Balaton maps.
  22. It's come to my attention that DCG and AVG Antivirus don't play well together. After DCG over-writes DGEN or NGEN and then the game tries to generate a new campaign or mission, AVG quarantines DCG in the IL2 folder (in other words, it deletes the DCG renamed as DGEN/NGEN). In order to stop AVG from quarantining DCG, users will have to set up an exception in AVG for the IL2 folder. This may also be the case with other antivirus programs....
  23. BTW, in the meantime, you could check the "No Transfers" option, That should stop all units from transferring.
  24. They're not supposed to transfer in that campaign. I'll have to have a look and see what's going on.
  25. Just keep an eye on whether when they are destroyed, they don't reappear the very next mission.
