  1. Snaggle's pilot had a successful first sortie. Then he switched to a gunner for the second sortie, and lived. And then died as a pilot in the third sortie.

  6. Hi Rossco, sorry for only seeing this now. You're cleared for the Blue Team. Check with the other J2 pilots for the Blue Team teamspeak and mission times. Welcome!
  7. Great work Geezer! Can't wait to see the next chapter.
  8. I restarted it earlier today. Hopefully it wasn't a problem.
  9. This looks really sweet Barton!
  10. Still love that video.
  11. Hi All, Eagle Dynamics is currently running a sale on all their WW2 stuff: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3476473&postcount=140 DCS: P-51D Mustang DCS: Spitfire LF Mk. IX DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfurst DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora DCS: Normandy 1944 Map DCS: WWII Assets Pack The sale starts today and goes to Monday, May 14th. I personally use the Normandy 1944 map and some of the WWII assets for an alternate MiG-15bis / F-86F training map. So those might be things to check out if you don't already have them.
  12. Excellent!
  13. It's great to have you with us Schafer! I'm in the same boat regarding FIF. It's hard for me to make Saturdays, so I haven't been able to fly the event. But I'm hoping... someday.
  14. Hi Shade, you weren't getting the messages, so I've just turned it on in your account. You should get them now. If anyone else isn't getting the FIF emails, and would like to, just let me know.
  15. It depends. The bulk email I send out when announcing news updates only goes to the registered pilots who have agreed to receive emails from the JG1 forum. When they registered to the forums, it's a setting you can switch on or off. If they chose not to receive bulk emails from the JG1 forum, I try and respect their wishes. But... it means that they're not going to get the information when I send it. And thus, may miss things. It's one of the reason I ask people to spread the word, and let me know if someone didn't get the email, but wants to.
  16. I posted over there, but no interest so far. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/36426-rof-fif-2018-spring-campaign-is-starting/ Hopefully, we'll get some pilots that way.
  17. Yup, you're all set.
  18. Yeah, the scale of the bombing is lost on you until you can see it on a map. If you use the drop down menu to look at the first night of the Blitz, it's crazy. Have you guys ever seen Blitz Street? It's a BBC show regarding the Blitz and what the bombs did to London. It's very good.
  19. That's a good point. Maybe we can swing back to 1917 in the Fall.
  20. Hi Adler, You're correct. I think the original idea was to do 1916, then 1917 and then 1918 in sequential order. However, after the Flying Circus plane-set was suggested for the Spring Campaign, it was too good of an idea to not use. We hope that it will get everyone excited for the new game. And, because many of the aircraft are free in ROF, it may get some BoX players interested in giving FIF a chance. So, I guess the better way to look at things is that the Winter Campaign (January to March) represented campaigns that we've played in the past. And that the Spring Campaign (May to July) will represent campaigns that we could play in the future.
  21. Thought you guys would be interested in this: http://www.bombsight.org/#11/51.4600/-0.1995 Its data visualized from the London Blitz (7 October 1940 to 6 June 1941).
  22. Happy birthday Barton!
  23. You can get Photoshop CS2 here: http://www.redmondpie.com/download-adobe-photoshop-cs2-for-free-legally-while-you-still-can/ However, it doesn't work very well with Win10. And, this link for CS2 is designed to be used as replacement software for people who had previously purchased CS2, but can't get it to load properly. Thus, use at your own discretion. GIMP or paint is probably a better way to go.
  24. Great version. She looks so healthy there. It's still hard to believe that she's gone.
  25. That is amazing. Absolutely amazing.
