The TAW campaign has been up and running and I'm finding it rather interesting. Definitely a different format from the usual. There are some steps and prerequisites.
If anyone is interested I can help get folks set up and registered tomorrow night.
The first thing to do is to get these skins (required to fly):

and place them in the appropriate \data\graphics\skins\<plane> folder.
This might prove a happy diversion from the same old same old.

Looks like the mission is running. The server is: CombatLogGB. An account on the TAW website is needed to join. There are other requirements as well spelled out in the guide.

Not really sure, but the 'Home' tab on the TAW link above mentions 'mission 68 of 168'. No mention that I can see re: when mission 68 ends and 69 begins....
I'm looking at how to join. All I can find on the webpage is a 'Login' link in the upper right which allow you to create an account. I opened the account creation page and it allows you to pick a side. I'm assuming this is how you join the campaign. So far it looks like 1 USSR player and 13 Poles. Haven't created an account yet though.

Well, after postponing the decision for a long time I too have decided to transfer to Jgr2/J27b for the WWI focus.   Not thinking of this as a goodbye as I would be happy to continue flying with JG1 during Tue practices, but understand if that would no longer be appropriate.

Caproni Ca.3 (or similar model). The USA flew it also and I think Red Baron 3D had one. There is the similar, later development Ca.36 on display in the US Air Force Museum in Dayton and I saw it during our visit there this last summer.

Looks like I stumbled upon the problem.   While switching windows in pursuit of a solution I happened to notice a small message in the top banner of the WMR Portal window that said something to the effect of "WMR Portal is not set up to use OpenXR composite"   There was a "Learn More" and "Fix it" buttons next to the message.   "Learn More" didn't get a response, but when I hit "Fix it" the banner disappeared and now WMR handshakes with IL2 to launch IL2 in VR.  Not sure how I missed that setup component.
