All,
JG1's leadership has decided to postpone the upcoming FIF campaign.
It will not start this weekend, and a new date and time have yet to be determined.
The current war in Ukraine has affected several people within JG1.  And it is also immediately affecting many of our friends in other units who live in Central and Eastern Europe.  During this uncertainty, we think it's important for people to refocus their weekends on taking care of their families, friends, neighbors, and themselves.
FIF is meant to be a distraction.  And it will continue to be that.
Everything is in place for a restart.  We have the map, the aircraft, the squadrons, and the teams.  We just need a time when it feels more appropriate to focus on fun.  We hope you understand.
Should anyone have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

I didn't mean what I said in a pointed way at all: only to say I saw it being discussed and personally decided I would stray away from using it. I do understand it's a topic up for some morally gray debate, though.

 Kidding aside, I agree with you. I'd be up for an informal ROF run.  Butzzell once talked to me about an idea he had. Recall when we were kids and we'd chose up teams for a ballgame or something?  Who would be open for a semi-organized "pick up" game in ROF?  Maybe run it for a week or 2.
 Vonrd is right though, many guys won't participate,( some don't even have it installed anymore), but if enough are willing and able, why not?
 Of course, I'm putting this out there without even considering Butz and the work that could be involved.......

The planeset is borked even without the DM changes.  I cannot stand that they gave the Entente the Brisfit as their two-seater.  They have all the speed advantage so flying German is frustrating because every encounter where they run, it's like, okay let them go.
At least in FiF we get to play both sides, Bloody April was...fun but somewhat *special* for Alb jockeys. 
Honestly let's just play some RoF, it is still a beautiful game IMO, it runs well, and the planesets are dynamic.  I miss it.  That FiF we did with early planes over eastern England was fun as hell.  I miss the Handley-Page and Gothas.  I mean, I can still load it up and fly single player but the events were so great.   Some people have expressed that the flight model is better in FC, and I would say to that, "Marginally."
Sticking with FC seems just too limiting.  We're going to be doing the same thing over and over and over instead of having larger maps and more choices in every respect.  I may be in a minority here, but this is how I feel. 

It's bad.  It seems like it affected the DVa and CLII worse than others, but most of the Entente guys are complaining as well. Can't dive away like they're used to.

Due to big disco session three is not being counted. Blue team was practically wiped out of planes. Red team still had planes and Blue had some people still flying, so the session went to the end as something to do for fun and to test the scoring system.  It was fun and the tally system worked as expected.
We will move on to session 4 and not replay session 3. We do not run into time set for Bloody April.
 
The number of allowed players was set to 90. We had less than 60. There were no problems with people getting on the server but due to lower numbers it was not a real test.

Yes, some one did, but on his way back to finish it off, he was trailed by the 3x3 deckers, kinda lost my appetite. 😭

As Klaiber posted, please check times.  Personally I wish we would get rid off the whole daylight savings time thingie.
 
A brief update.
 
I think I have found why the totals page is not correct. I thought it was a function of counting the actual missions. The missions were being counted correctly. It was a link deep in the actual display array itself.  It  now works as expected.
 
There was a bug in  the Central HQ recon where it would sometimes display the HQ location incorrectly after the plane returned to base. There was a duplicate function that was fighting itself. The Central HQ mission now works as expected and the error is not reproduced.
 
There was a problem with people trying to get on server. Server was set for 70 players. Updated server for 90 players.

   I've been using a TV for years. Started with a 32", now using a 42" since buying a new TV  for the den.  I've noticed no difference at all from a standard monitor. I will tell you that the one I'm using is several years old, refresh rate is only 60hz but even that has not been a real issue for me. 
  FWIW I'd say give it a shot.
