I saw a video of someone doing this and looked fun.

Is that the accident where the wing came off during maneuvers? Two pilots from our company were sent to do upset training they were to take back for our sim training and sadly one of them was in the airplane maneuvering when the wing came off.

That one looks even better! I wonder how much actual air time you get.

DCS keeps crashing every time I look down to the right instrument panel and try to change the TACAN channel

The video mentions the A-4 manual is actually downloaded with the mod and I found it in Mods/aircraft/A-4E-C/Docs. It's actually pretty good.

Any recommended guides to learn A4? I was playing a little with it and there isn’t a chucks guide.

I set the one field to horizon sharpening (I think it's called) and it seemed to take away the washed out horizon and distortions.

I went through it thoroughly and gained at least 10 fps for both IL2 and DCS (I'm getting around 45 fps pretty steady now). But..........msfs I am now only getting about 15-17 fps. I don't know what went wrong and will need more time to go back through the settings. I even reinstalled the Oct graphics driver he suggested (he said the newer updates were crap). I even tried a lot of the in game settings lower than he has and I have a similar system.

There is a part later where he talks about changing some settings in the msfs UserCfg file. In the video he doesn't have the Steam version so if you have Steam you have to go to user>username>appdata> roaming> microsoft flight sim to find the file he is talking about.

Hawg just reported he’s never had msfs run so smoothly after following this.

For my job I actually use trifocals as I found that worked best for me (couldn’t tolerate progressives). Top is for distance, middle for the instrument panel and bottom for my jepp charts and reading the paper (well, my Kindle books anyway )

I did recently learn through contact with HP support that the VR focal length is set for 1.5 meters. Getting ready to get a new prescription and want something specifically for my VR. From what I’ve found online I think the Oculus is set for the same.
