FiF Teams

Do we need to rearrange the teams?  Do people or squads want to swap sides?

 

 If yes what team are you on and do you want to go to the other team.

If no, please post what team you are on so that there is no way you get moved by accident.

If you are not on a team and want to join please visit the FiF registration page and mention which team you would like to be on. Warning --- Teams are Red Team and Blue team. We swap back and forth between Entente and Central. Please do not say  "I want to join the Entente Team" or "I only want to fly Central". We swap more for fairness of the map  than the plane set.

 

JG1 Will stay as a base for Red team and Jasta 5 / Schusta 27b will be the base for Blue team.

Oh, the plane set swap is at least as important  

I voted no, but that's because it's entirely contingent on what happens in the immediate future with regards to player numbers.

Time will tell.

FIF is going in new sim, some will gone, some will come. Its too early to have a decision about it. But i can say exactly the we have to use ROF core in FIF.

I agree with Adler, core sides should try to stay intact unless numbers dictate a reorganization.

I agree with Adler lets give it some time.

Love is a delicate thing. So too are side balances in campaigns.   See how things sort out this time.  Everyone will understand that adjustments may need to be made later.
I seem to recall that the side swapping only came into being in response to the RoF FM/DM changes being perceived as making the plane sets very inequitable.

Now with FC (and the resurrection of allied Entente players and new units due to the much improved and more equitable plane sets in FC compared to RoF) it may even be possible to consider  at some point in the future the possibility to going back to Central vs Entente to build each sides familiarity flying with long lost brothers and sisters (could still swap sides of too many people would still want to continue doing that).

I like the switching of sides within a campaign, it gives those poor Entente units a chance to fly our beautiful aircraft

I've got something I think many of us on the Red Team are thinking...   We have some people on our team that won't fly because of the plane sets.  At the Fall session, I think we'll have the planes they want, but I don't think it's a good idea that they fly even then.  It's about the team.   If they can't fly with us using the same planes we have to use, then they shouldn't come in at the end with the planes they like.  The way I see it, if you join a team, you fly with the team all the time, not just when you get the planes you like.  I think they should be excluded from the rest of the season for no team loyalty.

I'm not sure to whom you're referring; but I doubt anybody who's really interested in participating is going to suddenly show up to fly later, regardless.

I do see the need to discount all of those squadrons that are on our team only on paper, but not in participation.  That's nothing new, though, and is going to be addressed when re-registration happens.

Regardless of how players are accounted for later, the big problem is we still need a viable, cohesive and hopefully effective new group of pilots to join our team, in order to make things more even.   That's harder to come by than it may seem, especially if not to upset the balance on the blue team side.
