Getting ready for The event.    Recent updates to fix the Damage Model in Flying Circus means we will try using FC for the event. While RoF offers more planes and maps, FC is seen as the future of WW I flight sims.

Calendar will be posted soon. Expect a test run in two weeks.  

A sample mission is running on the JG1 server.

Plane set is not set in stone at this time.  Info will be updated very soon,,  Please visit the sign up page if you want to participate.

 

I had a bit of difficulty finding the practice server.

FYI it's server name is "fif test" and because it's all lower case is located at the bottom of the list (which actually works out quite well). The current mission is "fif classic practice".

Aerodrome targets are not very apparent on map. No color highlights or icons. Took me quite a while to ID Aerodrome 1 because there was no icon. We need to see that the Icon disappears when the target is destroyed.

Bridges are highlighted but only have the number... "1", "2", "3". No text "Bridge". Not a big deal since it's obviously a bridge icon.

Edit:

Destroyed Bridge 3 and got text notification of destruction but icon remained on map.

Same with Fac 1. Also, one building at Fac 1 was floating in air.

I flew with Loopy as Allies in DH4, out of Air Start. Bombed bridges and AA-trucks East of the "Mud". Message came that we fired on friendlies, sorry

Fixed bridges.

Fixed the factory 1 floating buildings.

Changed aerodrome icon to Building Icon labeled Aerodrome.  Will do new maps.

At this time Icons remain on the map after object destroyed.

Thanks for helping on Dry Run.  Several problems were identified and corrected.

A few other things were modified to use fewer complex triggers. It should run smoother.

This week is session three. Start times are same as last week.  Attention!   Red team is now Central and Blue team is Entente.

I guess that is only true for North America as your time switch (as I understood) happens this weekend after the session, while in europe we had it already last week

Yeah, we are back in regular time already. Thus I suppose the start will be at 19:00 CET

This is one of the reasons I use UTC times.  The start time is still 6 PM UTC.
