Focke-Wulf Fw-190A-4, W.Nr. 5533 of 6./JG1 as flown by Oblt. Wolfgang Leonhardt; Woensdrecht, Netherlands, October 1942. Leonhardt scored five kills over the course of the War, before meeting his demise on February 4, 1943 whilst engaging an Allied bomber. I played with the tire_D and the tire normal files to bring out the lettering. I hadn't realized that they were Continentals. Submitted to User Files. Fw-190A9, Black 3, W.Nr. 960553 of 2./JG1 as flown by Wilhelm Ade, Twente airfield, Germany January 1944 It has unusual white stripes on propeller blades. This aircraft was shot down on the 14th January 1945 during the ill fated Operation Bodenplatte.

Bf109G-6 Black 14 as deployed to the Eastern Front, based at Anklam Airfield in Western Pomerania in late-1944. It may have been at Detmold earlier in 1944 and possibly Vailly-sur-Aisne in France that summer. Unable to find the names of any pilots associated with the aircraft, or its fate. Color scheme from model Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 by Chris Wauchop. Uploaded to User Files. Black 14.zip

What about Kevlar thread? You can probably get it at a sporting goods store or maybe a hobby shop that caters to RC for composite builders. I would use super glue rated for plastics. Oh man... that's great! Unfortunately it looks like it conflicts with our SCG tank event. Decisions will have to be made... I'm not sure what I'll decide at this point. Will have to look over the rules first.

Fw 190A-4 of Maj. H. von Bonin, CO of JG 54, Pskov, Soviet Union, Spring 1943.Lots of additional weathering including mud splashes on undersurfaces (many of the airfields in Russia were basically dirt strips. Add the rains of April 1943 and I'm pretty sure they would be mud splattered). Tires and landing gear also mudded (and the Continental tire markings made more apparent. Revised paint chipping with more of a bare aluminum look. Some bootprints and blurry handprints. Two versions included. One with and one without swastika. Uploaded to DCS User Files. Awaiting approval by Moderators.
