Aero Vodochody L-39C Albatros, Construction Number:533526, USA Registration: N139AF, former Russian Red 68, now displayed at the Hiller Aviation Museum, San Carlos CA. From 12 September 2005 to 18 September 2005, competed at the National Championship Air Races, Reno NV in the Jet class as #68, named STRESS RELIEF. The primary pilot was Terry Sonday from Spring, TX. Finished in 7th place and from 11 September 2006 to 17 September 2006 where it finished in 9th place and 10 September 2007 to 16 September 2007 where it only raced one heat. (It's racing skin is a separate skin from the Hiller Museum one and is uploaded as "L-39C Red 68 Stress Relief"). In June 2010 it was placed on display at the Hiller Museum. Both skins have been uploaded to DCS User files. Also available here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/y266imrhr8btek9/AACX8q7q9kfRS8rae9zitNM2a?dl=0 I maintained the aircraft from 2005 until it's last flight from Hayward CA to San Carlos CA and it's induction into the museum.

Looks like most everything says: Available for pre-order Out of stock/Restock at unknown Prices look really good though. So, did you get a delivery time?

Anyone up for some DCS tonight? I'll be checking TS.

Looks like about 1.2 GB. Posted Tuesday at 03:13 PM Update 4.706 Dear Pilots! Battle of Normandy is getting closer and closer to that special moment - its release! Testing of the map and game modes will begin soon. New mission types are being created for the Normandy Career. Work is nearing completion on the last aircraft on the project list – the Me 410. All this is happening right now and the work is in full swing. However, at the same time, we try to release those elements of the project that are already ready without delay. So, today, we are producing two aircraft created as part of BON. The first one is the Arado AR 234 B-2. This jet powered single-seat twin-engine reconnaissance bomber is designed to be controlled by the player and has a number of new interesting systems we developed for it. It has a dive-bombing sight, reusable boosters, a drag chute, an automatic aircraft control system ("built-in" autopilot) and many other smaller features that should give you many hours of fun learning about the features of this aircraft. The second plane is the B-26B-55 Marauder AI twin-engine bomber. Although the B-26 is implemented as an AI piloted plane, the quality of this bird is just as good as all the other flyable ones. We made unique crew animations for it and created a new airborne gunner model (which will later be applied to the B-25, A-20 and C-47). We also, implemented a number of design features of this aircraft. In general, accompanying him, or attacking him, should be quite interesting for you. In addition to the two aircraft, some of the last AI objects planned for the Battle of Normandy are included in this update: a Bedford QL truck and tanker variant and several landing craft - LCA, LCM and LCT. Work on missions where these ships will play their main role has already begun. In addition, several other changes were made to improve the project, the list of which can be found below: 1. The German twin-engine single-seat jet reconnaissance bomber Arado AR 234 B-2 is now available for control by all players who pre-ordered the Battle of Normandy project; 2. AI controlled bomber B-26B-55 Marauder, created as part of the Battle of Normandy project, has been added to the project; 3. The Bedford QLD AI truck and its version of the Bedford QLC tanker, created as part of the Battle of Normandy project, have been added to the project; 4. Landing craft LCA, LCT, LCM, created as part of the Battle of Normandy project, have been added to the project; 5. Improved impact of weapons recoil on aircraft; 6. Improved physics of aircraft collision with static objects; 7. Restored the work of AI priorities set by the Force Complete command; 8. Improved animation of flare gun ammo in aircraft cockpits; 9. Mosquito FB Mk.VI series.2 - an artifact has been removed from the windshield next to the wiper; 10. Mosquito FB Mk.VI series.2 - the appearance of the pad on the standard red dot sight has been fixed: the pad from the Mk.III sight displayed on top of it has been removed; 11. Pilot career Battle of the Rhine, for the new aircraft Ar-234B-2, two squadrons available to the player - II./KG 76 and III./KG 76, and one AI squadron Sonderkommando Sperling / 1.(F)/ 123; 12. Pilot career Battle of the Rhine, AI aircraft B-26B-55 added, as well as the following AI squadrons that the player can meet in the career: 453rd BS, 454th BS, 455th BS, 456th BS, 556th BS, 557th BS, 558th BS, 559th BS, 584th BS, 585th BS, 586th BS, 587th BS, 596th BS, 597th BS, 598th BS, 599th BS (BS = Bomber Squadron); 13. Fixed a problem with AI pilots shooting rockets when taking off from the runway; 14. When flying in formation at night, aircraft will use formation lights (RESIN lights on Mosquito FB Mk.VI series.2, formation lights on A-20 and B-26); 15. Achtung Spitfire! Scripted Campaign has been updated to fix an issue with images.

Well, that's easy... thanks!

It seems many of us don't know how to type multiple lines in a Discord post. As soon as you hit enter, it's posted... you were wanting multiple lines however. Here's how it's done: To type in multiple lines in discord, you have to initially put in three backtics (the Tilde key) then hit Enter. Type as normal... the enter key will make a second line, third line, etc... Once done, put in three more backtics then hit enter. Your post will be multiple lines. Example: ``` Discord can be such a PITA``` (Now hit enter to post) This site explains more about text formatting: https://www.writebots.com/discord-text-formatting/

For the post unification 21, since the helmets are white and there's no shoulder patch (the chest patch would be hidden beneath the harness) the only difference is the gray color of the uniform. Might not be worth it. I think I'll take a break for a bit. Might do the others later.

So, OK to add them to the other skins? What about the post unification skins? Should I do the L-39, MiG-29, Yak 52?

I think I'm finished... here's a sample for each plane, take a look and let me know. If all's OK, I'll port the modifications over to all JG-1 skins. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/11bv48x8013w1tg/AADw5kk0Lmi-tzgDxEUqyS8da?dl=0

Sorry Ted. The straight lines are a major PITA. The UV map is all squiggly. Besides, I would have to make a seperate skin for every pilot who had a custom helmet and everybody would have to download and install all of those skins. I just went with generic JG-1 pilots. See next post.

Yes. Each model has a different UV map. If you look at the 15 and the 19, the pilot body / uniform is pretty rudimentary. I wouldn't even bother with the KA-50 since it's so bad and you never see the pilot anyway. The Hind and the Mi-8 are good though.

I like it. If there are no objections, I'll port him over to all of the JG-1 MiG-21s.

I'm going to blow off the white stripe on the helmet (or any other type of straight lines for that matter). As you can see, everything gets warped from the UV map to the 3D model. Not worth the struggle and suffering

What about the MiG-15 & 19? I think they are doable also. Any examples?

That's a great idea. I'll look into the uniform colors and patch locations. I would like to do something other than a plain white helmet. Examples? http://www.comtourist.com/images/large/speyer/speyer-zsh-3-pilot-helmet-01.jpg I think a "Tactical Moustache" is a requirement though...

I reduced the tint and metallicness of the visor. Worked on the helmet. I think I'll work on the Hip next so that I can look at the copilot and see myself. (Or maybe I'll try to use Snag's forum picture. Then I'll be able to see Snag in the right seat... ).

I've figured out how to individualize the pilots, uniforms and helmets. Yes, that's my face. If anyone's interested I would need a straight on looking at the camera portrait photo. If you just want a custom helmet without a photo that can happen as well.

This one's for Klaiber... "Think Pink"! East German MiG-21PFM No. 738 of the NVA and 22+25 of the German AF after re-unification, Serial #: 94A4301. It is now on display on a pylon at the Technik Museum Speyer, Germany and painted (as C993) in the (strangely fanciful) colors of the "Red Archers" display team of the Indian Air Force. Why the pink color instead of red which is what the "Red Archers" used and the incorrect colors of the roundel's and fin flash, I have no answer. I decided to keep the colors as they are on the museum's display aircraft. Submitted to DCS User Files and also here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/825lu5630ea6juj/Indian Air Force MiG-21FL C993.zip?dl=0
