@Ludwig, I'm adding the letters "L G" to your skin. Should be done soon but I'm also working on Hotlead's. You can load the skins .dds files to: C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\data\graphics\Skins\GothaG5 (Wherever you have the game installed, mine is in the C drive). If you don't have a GothaG5 folder (you should) go ahead and make one. The skins when modified will have the came names so you can just allow the new ones to overwrite.

I'm reluctant to vary much with the historical lozenge colors (or what has been generally agreed upon to be the correct colors). If you can provide an example of what you are asking I'll give it a shot.

we have finally begun work on improvements to our controller assignment system. In Rise of Flight, we had a great system for assigning key maps, joystick curves to custom input profiles which could be assigned to individual planes or set as default. The system worked well and was popular. We are now taking the time to add a similar system to Sturmovik and we think you’re going to be very happy with it. I hesitate to show you such early, early draft images, but they demonstrate where we are headed. Also, we are adding the ability to virtually adjust the pitch like we had in ROF, which for WWI crates makes them much more comfortable to fly and increases the fun factor.

Take a look at HyperX headsets. I have a 3 year (or more) old cloud and I think Moxy has the newer version. Good sound, mic and comfort. Relatively inexpensive. USB wire is on the left and they have wireless as well.

Mi-24 depicting an Mi-24D at the Militärhistorisches Museum - Flugplatz Berlin-Gatow. The helicopter originally served the DDR as 521. There are three versions. JG1_5211 has the numbers in the skin and Bort numbers are disabled. JG1_5211_Bort_4XX and JG1_5211_Bort_5XX are made to use Bort numbers. I had to do a work around since the Mi-24 liveries all have only 2 Bort numbers and I couldn't get 3 numbers to work. So, select the one which has your first number (4XX or 5XX) and you can load the last 2 numbers when you re-arm / re-fuel. NVM... reboot fixed it.

It was working OK but now when I check 6 with either a button or on automatic it pops me outside and above the cockpit. Recenter puts me back in the cockpit. This is in DCS. I haven't checked IL2 yet. HP Reverb G2. Any ideas?

Oops... thanks! Looks like this one has every country, correct? I'm going to put that in every description.lua from now on. Should it be added to the existing skins also? Both Dropbox and DCS User Files have been modified with the new lua.
