We're definitely going to have an awards section. I'm not sure if it will have a mock up of the uniforms, but it's always a possibility.

Congratulations to the Blue Team! The Blue Team has emerged victorious within FIF XXV! Within 8 sessions, they were able to achieve needed 80 points necessary for victory! Please take the time to congratulate the Blue Team on a job well done! The Red Team, in turn, did a wonderful job! Even though they were outnumbered for much of the campaign, the Reds were almost able to snatch victory away from the Blues, achieving a total of 76 points within the same time-frame. As Gamecock has mentioned, conjuring up visions of Waterloo, it was a "near run thing". To celebrate the Blue Team's achievement, the FIF XXV campaign ribbon shows both the British roundel and the German cross on a blue background. In the two weeks leading up to the Holidays, we'll be running an unofficial two-mission "mini-campaign" using the Phase C aircraft. This is just designed to be fun. Things will kick-off on December 17th. And then, sometime in January, we'll start to post new information on the next FIF campaign. As always, thank you to every pilot who flew in FIF XXV! Without your continued support, this tournament would not be able to function! Have a wonderful Holiday Season! The scores for Session 8 are shown below. . . . FIF XXV Session 8 Results (Saturday, 10 December 2016): Blue (Entente) Objectives Completed: 10 Central Factory Destroyed Artillery Correction (Arty Spotting) Completed Reconnaissance of front lines (Trench Map) Completed Reconnaissance of hidden Central base (Recon) Completed Central Bridge Destroyed Central Aerodrome Destroyed Central Headquarters (HQ) Bombed Central Reserve Unit Destroyed Reconnaissance Secondary Objective Completed Central Front Line Unit Destroyed Red (Central) Objectives Completed: 9 Artillery Correction (Arty Spotting) Completed Reconnaissance of hidden Entente base (Recon) Completed Entente Aerodrome Destroyed Entente Factory Destroyed Entente Bridge Destroyed Moving Entente Ship Destroyed Entente Headquarters (HQ) Bombed Entente Front Line Unit Destroyed Reconnaissance Secondary Objective Completed Total Objectives Completed (FIFXXV FINAL): Blue Team = 39 + 9 + 12 + 10 + 10 = 80 (winner) Red Team = 38 + 12 + 8 + 9 + 9 = 76 . . . [FIXED] DO NOT RUN THECURRENT 1.5.5 DCS UPDATE

Yeah, I'm sorry to hear that he was felled by it last night. Hopefully, a fresh install will sort things out. -
Last night was lot of fun, Ice! Sorry if I snuck in and grabbed him from you. The line up was just too good to pass up. Brit's death was the only blight on the engagement. I wish we all could have survived it. But, as we all mentioned at the time, three 2nd Gens winning against one 4th Gen, with only one casualty, is probably a pretty good turnout. Unfortunately, immediately after I got this shot, I was driven to the deck by a radar lock, and killed by an AI blue fighter. MiG-29 maybe?

Hi All, Within Mission 7 of FIFXXV, we had a pilot using a "captured skin". That is, a paint scheme which shows the wrong country, and thus the wrong side. For example: http://riseofflight.com/forum/topic/38922-disturbing-skin/ Whether intentional or not, using a "captured skin" during tournament play is a violation of our code of conduct regarding fair play. However, because we failed to predict "captured skins", it was never mentioned in our FIF ruleset. I have fixed this error, and amended the tournament rules. Moving forward, the use of a "captured skin" holds the same penalty as other code of conduct violations. Here it is in English: I've done my best to translate this rule into German, French, Russian, and Portuguese. Please let me know if you have a better translation! Post any questions below. . . .

That's great! Hope to see you next Firday.

It was great flying with you last night! Sorry we only got one sortie in. Hopefully it wasn't too confusing.

Hi Ice, We do play DCS. Right now, the majority of us are flying the MiG-21bis, Mirage 2000C, F-5E and the Gazelle. But we have everything and fly everything. A group of us have also been trying to get a WW2 thing going - especially with the Spit coming out. Definitely join us whenever you're interested! It would be great to fly with you. We normally meet on the JG1 TS around 10PM EST on Fridays. Let me know if you need the addy.

I should be around online tonight. Not sure when, but probably after 10:30PM EST. Will look for you.

That's a beautiful aircraft! I definitely have to take a trip to see the museum someday. The collection is amazing!

They have a lot of historically minded songs. For example, Banks of the Sweet Dundee: It's a 19th century ballad, collected off of a schooner in 1877. It's sometimes called Undaunted Mary. Basically, it's about sailor impressment and can be seen as an early form of a "Jody" tale. Except in this case, Mary fights back. The ending is amazing.

One of my favorite bands, that I often post videos from. However, this one seemed more pertinent to our boards, due to the subject matter. While the video doesn't give anything away, the song is about the female aviators of the Soviet 588th Night Bomber Regiment. http://fastnbulbous.com/wolf-people-ruins/ Here are the lyrics: I'd fly every night if I could On wings of paper and wood Delivering death wherever I go As graceful and quiet as snow As snow so heavy ceaselessly falls I will bury you all I am Night Witch Night Witch Night Witch Night Witch There's one for the brother I loved And one for the war I'm part of Another to turn this cold blackness to light So I may continue to fight With love and fury as my only spell You're already in hell I am Night Witch Night Witch Night Witch Night Witch
