  1. Hope it went well!
  2. Congrats on the milestone Barton! Can't wait to see your iRacing vids.
  3. I was curious to see if Col. Jack Wilhite was still flying, but found out that he unfortunately passed in January 2015: http://www.denverpost.com/2015/02/04/colorado-aviation-enthusiast-jack-wilhite-remembered-for-his-passion/
  4. Hi BvM, Both I./JG 1 and III./JG 1 say that Friday nights are difficult for them, due to family responsibilities. They're going to try and participate, but they unfortunately can't guarantee that they'll be able to attend with any regularity. And of course, II./JG 1 is in the same boat due to timezone differences. We'll keep working at it, with the hope of getting more involved soon.
  5. S! All, The following I./JG 1 and II./JG 1 "Oesau" pilots are being publicly recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Jagdgeschwader 1. Congratulations! . . . Armed Forces Report Maj. Baron von Faehig, Stab I./JG 1, for gallantry in battle, but also extraordinary fidelity and essential service. [for pushing for the use of BoX in Geschwader-wide practices, as well as outstanding BoX skins]. Maj. Erich (Hofnarr) Barton, Stab II./JG 1, for gallantry in battle, but also extraordinary fidelity and essential service. [for outstanding BoX videos which cover the nuances of the sim]. Fw. Lothar (GenMarkof) von Zudet, II./JG 1, for gallantry in battle, but also extraordinary fidelity and essential service. [for helping to coordinate and organize BoX practices]. Lt. Helmut Lipfert, II./JG 1, for gallantry in battle, but also extraordinary fidelity and essential service. [for taking an active part in registering JG 1 to various events, as well as striving for greater organization]. Oblt. Peter (Sipi) Pfeil, I./JG 1, for gallantry in battle, but also extraordinary fidelity and essential service. [for taking the time to explain BoX's capabilities, as well as encouraging the geschwader to pursue homegrown events]. Oblt. Richard (Vonrd) Ausweichen, II./JG 1, for gallantry in battle, but also extraordinary fidelity and essential service. [for helping to coordinate and organize BoX practices].
  6. PS: Everything sorted itself out. I can now join ATAG.
  7. That's too bad. It's hard to know how his departure will effect TF's CloD. I'm still hoping that 1C / 777 leaves TF alone to do their updates of CloD. However, without knowing any details as to why he left, things like this make me nervous.
  8. I updated CloD on Steam using the Team Fusion updater. It wouldn't let me in to ATAG afterwards, saying that we had different versions. So just an FYI to those who may encounter problems. This official TF patch must be slightly different in some way than the one you download and install yourself. I'm assuming future updates will be through Steam, so it's only a matter of time before all this gets worked out. But just a warning, like I said.
  9. We'll figure it out before FIF.
  10. Wow, that looks awesome!
  11. DCS works for all versions of the original game, up to IL-2: 1946. Plus all of the recent Daidalos Team upgrades to 1946.
  12. Sorry to take your thunder.
  13. The new home for Lowengrin's Dynamic Campaign Generator for IL-2: http://il2dcg.blogspot.ca/ Check in the forums for support and bug reporting.
  14. Yeah, pretty close. Have the wings fold in like a U-Wing from Rogue One. And you have a car.
  15. A friend sent this to me. Thought it was very cool. Sort of like the Spinner car from Blade Runner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohig71bwRUE
  16. Yes, almost exclusively German. Would that be a problem with numbers?
  17. Honestly, as a Geschwader, we really want to get involved in InWar. I think the only problems in the past have been scheduling. I./JG 1 and III./JG 1 are European (specifically Czech and Slovakian). So it's easier for them to participate. I'll talk to their GruppenKommandeure: Baron and Hroznys. II./JG 1 is interested too. But being North American, it may be a bit harder for them to get active. We'll work on it.
  18. I was until you asked. I./JG 1 (who is also Jasta 6) is listed at the bottom of your rules page. They're gruppenkommandeur is Baron. Thanks for the information!
  19. Hi BvM, thanks for the invite! I./JG 1 is already involved, and really loves the tournament. Quick question for you - is InWar dead-is-dead? If not, what are the rules regarding pilot death? I looked at the Rules section of the website, but I didn't see it directly discussed. Thanks!
  20. https://archive.org/details/softwarelibrary_mac Enjoy! It's pretty amusing.
  21. Very cool Hotlead! Looking forward to watching some of your streams!
  22. Great pictures! Regarding the roundels, I found this website which at least mentioned it: http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/2000/06/stuff_eng_profile_frenchww1.htm So, it seems like the transferred Nieuports retained many of their French markings while in British service. Specifically why this happened, I'm not sure.
  23. Cool!
  24. Once the whole Starforce thing gets resolved with the MiG-21bis, I'd be happy to fly a few sorties with you.
