  1. Convince me in another thread.
  2. Adding another field in the class file could be a real pain. How many planes are there now? (I know I could default them and let users set them). Of course, then the GUI needs another box.
  3. Ah, this is exactly what I do so have never run into this issue. Thanks!
  4. Remind me again as to why transports need special treatment?
  5. Haha. Now you have me thinking about DCG just compiling a list on it's own based on the results in the log file. Multiple crashes shortly after takeoff could easily be captured and DCG could restrict that type of plane from the field by compiling it's own restriction file. Of course, it could also be modified by the player. You are a very bad influence!
  6. I could add a file as you suggest, but what a pain it would be to manage!
  7. You've got "auto-generate" checked under the MODE menu. Which is fine. I recommend you check it AND check the "Replace Career Generator". Then close DCG, open up your game and generate a mission like you would using the campaign generator (DGEN) that came with the game.
  8. Is it not enough to set Zilina (and other really bad airfields) to airstrips to keep the big planes off them...? Alternatively, reverse the take off direction?
  9. Welcome! The install instructions are in the download. Just look for the "Installation and Settings Instructions.txt" file. And don't worry, the beta will work. There are many dedicated users of DCG that are quick to let me know when it doesn't.
  10. Beta 11 adds location to the briefing's "Other News" for planes that were shot down or that crashed. il2dcg349beta11.zip
  11. Been working on this. See beta 11 (and above).
  12. I wonder if it does have to do with your admin permissions. Since DCG is creating the folders, maybe only DCG can 'see' them...?
  13. After doing some Googling... Do you have an external hard-drive that syncs?
  14. I have never heard of this phenomenon of DCG and invisible/deleted folders before. In fact, I'm fairly certain that when I delete a campaign folder from the DCG folder, DCG can't access it again. Which makes me wonder if it's something particular to your Windows configuration. Do you have an automatic backup of your hard-drive and some synchronization thing happening? Also, do you clean out your recycle bin? Or are there deleted files in there from months ago? (Although I just deleted an old campaign into the recycle bin, but I can't see it in my DCG folder using open menu when I select "Select DCG Campaign Folder".) Sorry, I can't be more helpful, but it's nothing I've seen before.
  15. Back up the Lvov '41 template (in case you ever wanted to play '41) and then load the original into the FMB and update the squadrons (and ground forces) for '45. The file in question is in the DCG MASTERS folder and is called "lviv.mis"
  16. Beta 10 fixes the seaplane issue...probably.
  17. Hopefully I solved this one with the "#9" beta.
  18. Beta 9 is available. The only change is (hopefully) the proper spawning of static seaplanes. Edit: Beta 9 removed. See #10 below.
  19. Thanks! I still think DCG needs a presence on the Net so I'm giving blogspot a try. http://il2dcg.blogspot.ca/
  20. This is was test upload of the 3.49 Beta 8. My current ISP is discontinuing hosting webspace so I'm looking at alternatives ... like directly uploading to this forum.
  21. King? Ha! Slave to a program I threw together to convince Maddox Games that a dynamic campaign was possible.
  22. I wonder if I'll still be updating DCG in my 80s?
  23. Thanks, sniperton. When I get some time (and motivated), I'll have a look at the stationary seaplane issue. (Among other things.)
  24. What's ZG1 flying? It's not a plane designated as recon (on purpose or by mistake)?
  25. Thanks for posting!
