Yes, "Hill" is not a reserved word.

In the DCG folder, there should be a backup folder with your campaign files in it (assuming you didn't delete it). It's a bit time consuming, but you should be able to copy that folder and those files (renaming the extension .bak or .bkl to match the original type - pick the most recent saved date/time). Where you copy it to depends on what type of campaign. So I recommend you move the backed up folder out of DCG then generate a new campaign that matches your old one. Then copy the files into it and rename their extensions to match the new ones that had been generated.

That's how I understood it. I need to go bug hunting.

I think I just realized why this bug is happening. Probably it's grabbing the plane type from the nearest airfield and ignoring what's at the seaplane base.

Hopefully someone can answer your questions as far as HSFX and DCG go, because I'm unable to. Sorry, mate!

DCG Campaign air starts when no airfield on map eg.Rabaul
Lowengrin replied to taly001's topic in DCG Public Discussion
Along with Scharnhost's information, Tailspin did some: members.shaw.ca/lowengrin/dcg_campaign_info_v321.zip They're dated but have the core information. -
DCG Campaign air starts when no airfield on map eg.Rabaul
Lowengrin replied to taly001's topic in DCG Public Discussion
I recently pulled the tutorials that were available for download (when I turned off the old Lowengrin.com site). Let me see if I can upload them here. Edit: no, file size limitations are too small. -
Problems editing DCG-generated missions in FMB
Lowengrin replied to tomoose's topic in DCG Public Discussion
It's a bit weird, but the files created by DCG get "cleaned" by the FMB if they're opened in it. In some cases, they load with few changes and in others, they won't load at all. It depends on the issue. I've done some updating of the format in DCG as I come across these problems but there are always more. I recommend that if it's just the take off formation that you want to modify, you might figure out the format change between the default formation and the pairs and then edit through NotePad rather than the FMB. It must be a pretty simple change. -
Some Static Aircraft not showing up...

All was not wasted as there were some other things I had to change in the process and may have missed them had I not gone and double-checked what was going on. -
Some Static Aircraft not showing up...

On closer look, it's not me, it's you. You've got it down as "Planes$xxx" but there's no "s". It's "Plane$xxx". -
Some Static Aircraft not showing up...
Lowengrin replied to JG7_X_Man's topic in DCG Public Discussion
I really thought I'd figured it out with beta 8. Every mission, DCG will do a check to replace a static plane at any given airfield with another plane matching a type that is being used by a squadron at the base. So if there are no Bf109F0 at the base, they won't appear. BTW, what mode are you generating these mission in? Campaign (offline) or dogfight or coop? It shouldn't make any difference (I don't think, but maybe there's some code deep in the belly of DCG that I've forgotten about). Make sure you have no blank lines in your staticplanes.dcg file. (Maybe that's screwing it up.) -
Beta #8 has been uploaded. More tweaks to the stationary planes code including (hopefully tracking static planes destroyed on the ground). Also fixed static aircraft marking display.

Some Static Aircraft not showing up...
Lowengrin replied to JG7_X_Man's topic in DCG Public Discussion
Good question. Because my template missions don't have modded planes, I never considered reversing them. I'll do some testing and see how it goes. -

Dumb question but you have a Bf109F0 in your class.dcg file? -
Beta #7 has been uploaded. Tweaked stationary planes code and added a log message if DCG can't find a squad id (but it still defaults it to German).

I need to do more work on it. Bare with me. -
Nope, I'll keep it. Try the new beta. I made some tweaks which might fix your issue.

Beta #6 has been uploaded. The only change is that it removes the little popup window I had in it for debugging. No time for other fixes.

Some Static Aircraft not showing up...
Lowengrin replied to JG7_X_Man's topic in DCG Public Discussion
Is this after the mission? Or is this pulling non uniform statics from a template mission to create the campaign? -

That's how it's supposed to work. Of course, one thing I forgot to add was when it gets destroyed and appears in the event log, what to do with it. -
I'll look into it. Thanks for posting the files!

Why didn't I think of that...?

Dialog boxes spawn when creating missions with 3.49b5
Lowengrin replied to idefix44's topic in DCG Bug Reports
Oops, forgot to remove my little debug popup. Will fix in the next beta (hopefully in a day or two). -
Beta #5 has been posted. In this beta, I've added a new exception file for planes with static names that don't follow the basic pattern of Plane$ClassName. I've put one example in it as per this topic: http://forum.jg1.org/topic/4177-some-static-aircraft-not-showing-up/?do=findComment&comment=24055 I've also made some tweaks which may fix the issue of campaigns ending prematurely. But it may not. Finally, I've started working on tracking AI in online dogfight mode. This isn't complete but the game should track a few things now for the AI.
