Beta 11 adds location to the briefing's "Other News" for planes that were shot down or that crashed. il2dcg349beta11.zip

Been working on this. See beta 11 (and above).

I wonder if it does have to do with your admin permissions. Since DCG is creating the folders, maybe only DCG can 'see' them...?
-
After doing some Googling... Do you have an external hard-drive that syncs?
-
I have never heard of this phenomenon of DCG and invisible/deleted folders before. In fact, I'm fairly certain that when I delete a campaign folder from the DCG folder, DCG can't access it again. Which makes me wonder if it's something particular to your Windows configuration. Do you have an automatic backup of your hard-drive and some synchronization thing happening? Also, do you clean out your recycle bin? Or are there deleted files in there from months ago? (Although I just deleted an old campaign into the recycle bin, but I can't see it in my DCG folder using open menu when I select "Select DCG Campaign Folder".) Sorry, I can't be more helpful, but it's nothing I've seen before.

Back up the Lvov '41 template (in case you ever wanted to play '41) and then load the original into the FMB and update the squadrons (and ground forces) for '45. The file in question is in the DCG MASTERS folder and is called "lviv.mis"

Beta 10 fixes the seaplane issue...probably.
-
Hopefully I solved this one with the "#9" beta.
-
Beta 9 is available. The only change is (hopefully) the proper spawning of static seaplanes. Edit: Beta 9 removed. See #10 below.

Thanks! I still think DCG needs a presence on the Net so I'm giving blogspot a try. http://il2dcg.blogspot.ca/

This is was test upload of the 3.49 Beta 8. My current ISP is discontinuing hosting webspace so I'm looking at alternatives ... like directly uploading to this forum.

King? Ha! Slave to a program I threw together to convince Maddox Games that a dynamic campaign was possible.

I wonder if I'll still be updating DCG in my 80s?
-
Thanks, sniperton. When I get some time (and motivated), I'll have a look at the stationary seaplane issue. (Among other things.)

What's ZG1 flying? It's not a plane designated as recon (on purpose or by mistake)?

Thanks for posting!

Yes, "Hill" is not a reserved word.

In the DCG folder, there should be a backup folder with your campaign files in it (assuming you didn't delete it). It's a bit time consuming, but you should be able to copy that folder and those files (renaming the extension .bak or .bkl to match the original type - pick the most recent saved date/time). Where you copy it to depends on what type of campaign. So I recommend you move the backed up folder out of DCG then generate a new campaign that matches your old one. Then copy the files into it and rename their extensions to match the new ones that had been generated.

That's how I understood it. I need to go bug hunting.
-
I think I just realized why this bug is happening. Probably it's grabbing the plane type from the nearest airfield and ignoring what's at the seaplane base.
-
Hopefully someone can answer your questions as far as HSFX and DCG go, because I'm unable to. Sorry, mate!

DCG Campaign air starts when no airfield on map eg.Rabaul
Lowengrin replied to taly001's topic in DCG Public Discussion
Along with Scharnhost's information, Tailspin did some: members.shaw.ca/lowengrin/dcg_campaign_info_v321.zip They're dated but have the core information. -
DCG Campaign air starts when no airfield on map eg.Rabaul
Lowengrin replied to taly001's topic in DCG Public Discussion
I recently pulled the tutorials that were available for download (when I turned off the old Lowengrin.com site). Let me see if I can upload them here. Edit: no, file size limitations are too small. -
Problems editing DCG-generated missions in FMB
Lowengrin replied to tomoose's topic in DCG Public Discussion
It's a bit weird, but the files created by DCG get "cleaned" by the FMB if they're opened in it. In some cases, they load with few changes and in others, they won't load at all. It depends on the issue. I've done some updating of the format in DCG as I come across these problems but there are always more. I recommend that if it's just the take off formation that you want to modify, you might figure out the format change between the default formation and the pairs and then edit through NotePad rather than the FMB. It must be a pretty simple change.
