  1. Looks amazing, Vonrd!
  2. Interesting. I mean, the MiG-29A is a day one purchase for me. If anything is going to get me back flying, it'll be that and the Germany map combined.
  3. That's a great overview!
  4. Welcome to the Flanders In Flames Online War Your registration within this thread is essential, as it gives us an overall headcount and a clear idea as to whom to provide access. All pilots/tail gunners will need to register. Squadron commanders or representatives can mass-register their pilots! After registering within this thread, please be patient. We will not post a complete list of team assignments until closer to the event start date. Please make sure to join FIF's Discord: https://discord.gg/HVmET2AmbZ Important! 5. I'm sure they'll add it, but its disappointing it wasn't there for launch.
  6. This is fantastic work, Vonrd! I especially like this glass work. The reds are really stunning.
  7. I'm excited to start playing around with the Cold War map.
  8. @Flyboy - I've added the events on the JG1 Discord and the ACME Discord. I've also added them to the JG1 Calendar: https://jg1.org/schmenkel/calendar/
  9. I've definitely done that before...
  10. Of course! Happy to help.
  11. The Templates should be in Saved Games > DCS.openbeta > StaticTemplate. Look for the stm files.
  12. Unfortunately, RSBN and ARK can't be added easily to maps that don't have it. Its not something that Leatherneck ever allowed us to control in the Mission Editor, even though its been asked for since the MiG-21 was released in 2014. There are Mods that will add RSBN or ARK to maps that don't have it. For example: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3339195/ https://forum.dcs.world/topic/348232-rsbn-ark-still-missing/ However, they break IC checks. Or if they don't, they will when the game gets updated. You might be able to convince Rohr to remove IC checks from the mission to allow you to run with the mod. But its not a great solution.
  13. Not sure how many people have explored The Doors post-Jim Morrison albums. Here is the song Ships with Sails. It's a hugely underrated song (mostly forgotten) off the Other Voices album. Written by Robby Krieger and John Densmore, it screams to be sung by Jim. But alas, it wasn't to be. There are versions on YouTube using AI to replicate Morrison. They're okay. I won't link them, but you could easily search if you're interested.
  14. This is a really tough situation. I don't think there is an easy answer here. My understanding is that DCS Fog of War works like a datalink. So when one unit spots something, all of them spot it. And because all AI units have perfect sight that can see through clouds, fogs, and sometimes objects, the only thing you can really do "in game" is either remove Fog of War or manually set the engagement range for units within the ME to simulate an inability to spot stuff. I think Option 2 is the best. One commander per side. They can take control of stuff if they want. They can get a gods eye, but only if they're in the slot.
  15. Yeah, I've noticed that it depends a lot on what you feed it and how you frame your queries.
  16. I've wanted to try and use ChatGPT for lua scripting, but haven't dedicated a ton of time to it. I wanted to figure out if there was a way to fix the OpForAC and BluForAC scripts: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3332275/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3335913/ They work great in single player. Not so much in multiplayer. I actually ran them through OpenAI, but I couldn't get them to work. If you're having success, I'll try it again.
  17. I had no idea!
  18. Yeah, I was surprised too. Their harmonies were on point too.
  19. Yeah. I know they're working on a big redevelopment of the forum. So maybe it's on hold until that?
  20. Wow, it's hard to believe he's 94... Honestly, I hope I look that good at 94.
  21. This will definitely come in handy. It's a great new feature.
  22. Just going to leave this here...
  23. I always loved the random running in the opening. It makes me realize how good of a spoof Sabotage (by the Beastie Boys) is.
  24. Hey @EvLeep, Great to hear from you! I've been wondering how you've been. Yup, we're flying DCS World, alongside Flying Circus, IL-2 Great Battles. In DCS, we're mostly focused on Cold War stuff. Mostly REDFOR, but we do other stuff too. Have you been doing a lot of simming recently?
