We agree, it's less of a sim than we would like but better than WT. It's good for the community but as a whole, it doesn't fit our needs. On the WWII side, we're mostly on CloD awaiting the first Ghost Skies campaign.

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=132861 This just brings me visions of a JG1 aerobatic demonstration team. NOTE: I'm waiting on this one to get an advanced flight model before I consider picking it up. If they make a T-45 mod and AFM, I'm in!

I figured I'd start a new thread because the one that we had this discussion in contained a wide range of topics. He's a wood elf that's bundled up 24/7 with elven armor. The survival pack rounds out the look.

We're already skeptical, Hess. After taking part in the alpha and beta, we have seen the route taken by the developers and have flown the FMs already. Unless things have changed with the 109 at high speed in the last couple months, it probably won't stay on my hard drive.

Well, it's already paid for

Yeah? I'll bite.

I'll leave this to some much more experienced computer people but I wanted to chime in and say welcome back! I would recommend an Nvidea over ATI for CloD specifically. I run an ATI and there are some basic incompatibilities although it doesn't make it unplayable, mind you.

However, that sale ended early this morning. 8am Moscow time.

No, FC3 is a stand alone. I loved what I learned about the Huey so far but I plan on learning the Hip after the MiG-21. I'm trying to keep in eastern block.

I have completed my collection, snagging that P-51D for $9 was an easy choice.

I found it on my own, RN&D is pretty nice. I had to drink a couple bottles of wine to get empty bottles so I could fill them with river water. Then while I was at a fire for warmth I boiled the water then cooled it to drink. It certainly is on the hardcore side, as it takes about twice as long to get anywhere with RN&D and Frostfall, at least with a mortal character. It adds an element of planning that I haven't seen in a game since the Oregon Trail Reminded me of my days in Alaska melting snow to drink in the winter. It always tasted like pine, FYI.

That looks like a good one. I actually stopped at an inn and ate and drank before turning in for the night. On my trip through the pass I kept thinking, I can make it two days, I've done it, myself! It actually brings back memories of being in the infantry in Alaska. Someone once mentioned, 80% of a winter field problem is survival! there is only 20% training.

As Klaiber was so kind to get me hooked on Skyrim, here's my latest endeavor. With the Frostfall mod I've spent about 2 days in tents trying to stay dry and warm just working my way through a mountain pass. Immersion, I haz it

That looks like a fair middle ground between key bindings and clickable cockpits. I had only heard of Helios being used for cockpit builders on secondary monitors but this isn't far off. Maybe another 8" monitor for all the systems could work for my system.

It really depends on the amount of commitment from the JG1 pilots to SC to see what we would be capable of performing. I plan on playing SC casually, much like I play SWTOR, SWGEMU, Condor, DCS, and lately, Skyrim (thanks to Klaiber). I wouldn't mind joining a group of JG1 pilots in SC, we have a guild in SWTOR called Tatzelwurm, after all (only 1 active player, lately, me). If you go that route, send me an invite but let me know you have done it. I've declined all my current offers, like I said, I'm pretty hands off on the development of the game.

Wow, that is a beautiful replica! I agree, the lozenge camo looks much better.

Klai, they've been releasing a few ship models for a while. Recently they've created some small arena fighting that you could log in and fly against other players. The last time I updated was about 2 months ago and I would call it a very early Alpha for the flight models. The 3D models have been stellar since they released them in the hangar to sit in and walk around, though. I pledged very early and may have some access that others don't, I'm not sure what current purchasers can get to. My approach to Star Citizen has been to keep very loose tabs on it and check in to be surprised. I didn't want to get all excited for something that hasn't had a hard release date. The idea of it is amazing, though. Persistent universe and large ships to walk around in. I'm excited, overall.

I don't anticipate flight simulators to stray away from accurate performance, I think the time span since the war has lead to a greater appreciation of realism and fairness for the aircraft that are so rarely flying today. I did pledge to Star Citizen in it's initial fundraising and I plan to play it when it comes out, but WWI/WWII simulations are still where I will call home. Much like I'm tearing up the MiG-21bis in DCS right now, but I'm not dedicating my future to it.

The thing that frustrates me to no end is that I'll check the forums one hour then go to get on TS the next and I can't connect, nor get on the forums anymore. However, my connection was severed this entire weekend, so it was consistent...

Seriously, these two need to get their act together. Again I'm out of touch with JG1.org and Ghostskies.com.

Okay, that is quite funny, indeed.

I clicked on it and the center picture is a broken link. I tried on both my mobile ISP and my home. There are thumbnails at the bottom that show though. I logged into the parent site and accepted the age thing but it still shows that link as a broken picture.
